Good weather, kids back at school and a good reason to celebrate.. Chinese New Year.. makes for a busy market day. Haven't been this busy in a long time..

The kids often sell strawberries at Paddy's market on Saturday's. Sell at any price! very cheap at $2/punnet, sometimes $1/ 2 punnets!!!! So sick of looking, selling and eating strawberries.. yet...

Strawberry picking in Seoul.. they said strawberries taste very good, soft not hard like Australian ones.. hahaha.. I think the difference is, Australian strawberries taste like hard work ;)

Last week the forklift driver had to leave work early. My kids were like "s**t! who's going to pack up and lift everything into the warehouse!!!". It's been awhile, they've forgotten Mum can and used to do everything.

Running my own business has been and is the biggest learning curve and challenge. 18hr days on 3-4hrs sleep, juggling work, 5 small kids, husband..

running up and down carrying boxes in my heels, jumping onto the forklift in my skirt, unpacking pallet upon pallets... zoned out with my head on the table.. I've done them all.

Oriental Produce is a "family business".

It means as soon as we are able, we have to contribute. It means packing produce, picking and assembling orders, unpack pallets, displaying and selling.

Small people do small jobs and big people do big jobs. Working from the early hours in the morning, no wonder we are all "worked" out.
