Last week saw Josiah Cooke take out A grade from Brad Rayner, with Pete Fox in 3rd. In B grade Billy Yeo outsprinted Charlotte Lovett, with Kirk Brown rounding out the podium. In C grade, a massive field was led home by Simon Hickey, closely followed by Henry Hansen and Tim Guy. An all women’s D grade saw Erica Black take a maiden win, closely followed by Beth Tranter and Annie Yeo.

Well done to Pete Fox, Lach Crump and Billy Yeo, who raced the Graham Stait Memorial on the weekend. The race took place under challenging conditions, with solid cross and headwinds throughout the day. Over the 57km course with 900m of climbing Billy finished just off the podium in fourth, Lach in 6th, while Pete took out 9th and fastest time. Well done all and thanks to the Bathurst club on running a great event
This Saturday Bathurst Cycling Club will be hosting the Graham Stait Memorial Handicap. This race takes place over the challenging Crossroads Course - 57km with a decent amount of climbing - finishing at the top of Rockley Mount.

It's been a rainy day in Orange, but the sun has now come out and we are going ahead with racing. A course inspection will occur prior to racing commencing and some course changes may be made in the event that any areas are deemed unsafe.

Yes, tomorrow is the last week of crits, but there’s bigger news to kick off.
Orange local and regular racer Luke Tuckwell has kicked off his European season with the Rás Mumhan in Ireland, and with a stage remaining holds a handy 38 second lead. You’d be hard pressed to find a local rider who hasn’t ridden with Luke and knows what a champion fella he is (even if he’s a member of Bathurst Cycling Club). Here’s looking forward to Luke getting his second most prestigious victory (after winning the A grade crit at the Go Kart track late last year).
Luke is our second race winner smashing it in 2024 at International level, after Xavier Bland won several medals at the Oceania track championships. Both riders started out in Under 9’s, riding with their friends and having fun.
If you’re keen to try racing, whatever your age, come down to the Orange Kart Club tomorrow night for our final race of the series.
Another great night at the Kart Track tonight with over 30 senior racers across three grades and some really impressive junior racing.
A grade saw Josiah Cooke hitting the pace early, blowing the bunch to pieces which then came in a couple of groups. 1st Josiah, 2nd Pete Fox, 3rd Brad Rayner.
B grade was the race of the day, with several different riders trying to split the bunch. Lachie Crump led in the bunch in the sprint, with Charlotte Lovett 2nd and Billy Yeo 3rd.
C grade was another race that was blown to bits early. Henry Hansen took a solo lead that wasn’t surrendered, leading to a solo victory. Joe Ecclestone backed up from a win in Junior A grade to take 2nd in C grade, with Matty Crump in third.
In Juniors, Hamish Smith and Joe Ecclestone had a ding d**g battle, highlighted by fantastic sportsmanship in Joe waiting for Hamish when he dropped a chain. Cycling was the winner on the day, Hamish 2nd, Annie Yeo 3rd. In Junior B, Gus Yeo is loving going fast, Audrey Smith 2nd, Hanneka Hansen 3rd.
Racing on again next week, sign on from 4:30, junior racing from 5, seniors racing from 5:45.
Great night last Tuesday for the return of crit racing. A grade was taken out by Josiah Cooke, with Oscar Hansen second and Cam Crump third. In B grade, Lachlan Crump won a three way sprint, with newcomer Josiah Dirs in second and Billy Yeo in third. C grade saw Dexter Lloyd get the chocolates, with Ray Selmes and Matty Crump completing the podium.
Some good races for juniors, with Hamish Smith and Angus Yeo taking wins.
Come along this Tuesday for some more racing at OKC, sign on from 4:30, juniors from 5:00, seniors racing from 5:45
