* Partial Payment: A one-off payment of \$2,000 per household for eligible applicants whose home suffered major damage, because of the event.

The severe thunderstorms warning for South Bunbury, Withers and College Grove has been cancelled.





WHAT TO DO



* Stay at least 8 metres away from fallen powerlines, they are dangerous and should always be treated as live.
* To report downed powerlines call Western Power on 13 13 51.
* Be careful of fallen trees, damaged buildings and debris.
* Keep away from flooded drains, rivers,streams and waterways.
* Assess your home, car and property for damage.
* Check to see if your neighbour needs help.
* If damage has occurred, take photos and contact your insurance company to organise permanent repairs.
* If your home has significant damage, like a badly damaged roof or flooding, call the SES on 132 500.
* Please exercise caution as emergency crews are working in the area.

Bushfire ADVICE for part of MOKINE and CLACKLINE in the SHIRE OF NORTHAM




A bushfire ADVICE is in place for people travelling along Spencers Brook Road and Old Spencers Road in part of MOKINE and CLACKLINE in the SHIRE OF NORTHAM.



* There is no threat to lives or homes.
* There is a lot of smoke in the area.
* Although there is no immediate danger you need to be aware and keep up to date in case the situation changes.
* The fire started near the intersection of SPENCERS BROOK RD and GOOCH RD in MOKINE.



WHAT TO DO



If driving:

* Be extremely careful when driving through the area.
* Turn your headlights on and drive slowly.
* Watch for emergency services personnel and follow their directions.
* If you cannot see clearly, pull over, keep your headlights and hazard lights on, and wait until the smoke clears.
* If you have a respiratory condition and you have been affected by smoke you should contact your local doctor or call Health Direct on 1800 022 222.

A bushfire ADVICE is in place for people in an area bounded by Harewoods Road and Dalyellup Boulevard to the north, Maidment Parade and Minninup Road to the east, Lakes Road to the south and the ocean to the west in the southern part of DALYELLUP in the SHIRE OF CAPEL.



* There is a lot of smoke in the area.
* Although there is no immediate danger you need to be aware and keep up to date in case the situation changes.



WHAT TO DO



* Stay alert and monitor your surroundings.
* Watch for signs of a bushfire, especially smoke and flames.
* Close all doors and windows, and turn off evaporative air conditioners but keep water running through the system if possible.
* Read through your bushfire survival plan.
* If you do not have a plan, decide what you will do if the situation gets worse. You can make a plan by visiting My Bushfire Plan.

WHAT TO DO



* Residents who may require assistance or advice about cleaning up asbestos should contact the City of Bunbury’s 24 hour Storm hotline on 08 9792 7333.
* People commencing clean up activities around their properties in this area are advised to exercise caution and should not use items such as blower vacuums and brooms.
* For more information on how to manage hazards after a storm visit In an Emergency (healthywa.wa.gov.au)
* Emergency services and City of Bunbury contractors are working to clear roads from hazards including storm debris and residents should limit movement in the area.
* Anyone outside the warning area who may need to enter the area should exercise care as crews continue clean up work.
* People with medical concerns should contact their local doctor or call Health Direct on 1800 022 222.

PREMIER'S RELIEF PAYMENT




The Premier’s Relief Payment is available to provide financial assistance to residents, to help pay for essential items, personal effects, transport and emergency accommodation, whose home was:

* located within the path of the severe storm associated with the Bunbury Storm (the event) on 10 May 2024, and
* significantly damaged or destroyed by the event.

The Premier’s Relief Payment is comprised of the following:

* Full Payment: A one-off payment of \$4,000 per household for eligible applicants whose home was destroyed or suffered severe damage and is uninhabitable because of the event.
* Partial Payment: A one-off payment of \$2,000 per household for eligible applicants whose home suffered major damage, because of the event.
