The first thing you eat in the day should be the powering fuel your body uses to focus, energize and nourish. What you eat is important. A high sugar, processed breakfast will give you a quick energy boost followed closely by a crash. Eating food that is balanced and full of protein can help you navigate your morning in a far more effective manner.
"You are the Culinary Architect of Your Destiny!"
What we eat truly is who we are.
Gut health is important because it affects nutrient absorption, immune function, digestion, mental health, and inflammation levels. A healthy gut promotes overall well-being, while poor gut health can lead to deficiencies, weakened immunity, digestive problems, mental health issues, and increased risk of diseases. Prioritizing a balanced diet, exercise, stress management, and avoiding disruptive factors helps maintain optimal gut health. Throwing a pile of supplements down will be useless if you dont first treat the gut.
It baffles me that soo many people still use commercial cleaning products anymore.
The studies are clear and there are soo many natural options that work just as well.
If you are trying to fall pregnant, are pregnant or have kids you should be taking a hard look at the ingredients and researching what that means for your health.
It all begins in the gut! "You are what you eat" didn't come from no where.
What is it?
Oxidative stress reflects an imbalance between the systemic manifestation of reactive oxygen species and a biological system's ability to readily detoxify the reactive intermediates or to repair the resulting damage.
AKA - It damages your precious cells and can lead to disease and dysfunction.
How do we prevent/treat it?
ANTIoxidants! π₯¦ππ«π
This also applies during the TWW for non IVF clients
I don't mean you have to go join the gym or run a few KM a day, but moving your body is soo important. Not only does it help with blood flow, detoxification, digestion and weight control but also mental health which is super important during TTC.
If you google "how to increase my chance of falling pregnant" you may stumble upon some tips like "cut coffee" which in itself is not the worst advice, but if that is the only thing you take away from it you are wasting your time. Health is not a quick fix, it's a process.
What NOT to do if someone you know is going through infertility.
IVF is sometimes required and for those who embark on the journey it can be a more painful, expensive version of what they were already going through laced with the added suffering that comes with the "This should fix it" not working. Mental health can take a severe plunge if IVF is not going smoothly.
Patients undergoing IVF should be supported both physically and mentally during this time.
When the math is not mathing and you are facing unexplained infertility or you have been trying for a while with no success, these are a few tests you should have done. The results should be examined by a Naturopath or specialist as some GPs will not have the training to determine fertility relevance of the results.
Many studies have shown a potential link between EMF radiation and fertility. Reducing your exposure when trying to conceive is an easy way to improve your chances and improve your overall health.
Often IVF is touted as being the fastest way to "cure" infertility. This is garbage and completely neglects a patients mental and physical health. If infertility is an issue then the overall health of the patient should be examined first not just their reproductive status. Rushing into IVF with no other support is setting the patient up for heartbreak and potential risk.
Those who are supporting couples with infertility can be helpful and a wonderful resource if done right.
It doesn't matter how strong you are, being a level headed and supportive friend while undergoing your own battle can be HARD! Sharing in other people's joy while you are struggling is often near impossible no matter your intentions. The important thing to remember is that communication is key and helping those around you understand your limits can help keep relationships strong through rocky times.
S***m are under threat like never before thanks to our modern lifestyle. Did you know that poor dental health can be a risk factor for fertility? What about the amount of EMF exposure you encounter daily and while you sleep? Fertility is complicated with many factors impacting on your chances of conception. Keeping your body health should be your number one priority but keep an eye on hidden dangers you may not be aware of.
Gut health is often overlooked in fertility at the detriment of the patient. The state of your microbiome can have a heavy impact on nutrient absorption, prevention of inflammation and oxidative stress, mental health and hormonal balance all of which play a strong role in fertility.

Today it is estimated that 50% of infertility related concerns are due to male factor. S***m health is under extreme threat and studies have shown a significant decrease in male fertility over time. The causes are relatively "unknown" but lifestyle is a popular theory.
It is no secret that the way we live in today's world could be impacting our health in many negative ways. S***m is fragile, it is easily damaged.
The good news?
There is so much positive research behind natural methods to improve s***m quality. But the amount of conflicting and overwhelming information out there is exhausting.
That's where I come in.
Book a fertility consultation and let me help unpack the puzzle.
