Centenary Park, Sunday November 21st, Tee Off @ 8.30am
It is great that golf is back open and hopefully no more lockdowns in the future.

The next round is the 1st round of our 2020/21 Club Championship with the final round held at Warburton on December 12th, we will then kick-off the New Gold Year at Flinders on January 16th, details will be provided on our upcoming newsletters.

As you can imagine, all of the golf course are fully booked so we need to pay ahead of time and lock down the numbers playing.

Could you please confirm ASAP if you will be playing at Centenary Park on November 21st .

Although golf in pairs is allowed, Gardiners Run is too far away for most of us, and consequently there was a good chance that those 3 or 4 players that could get there would load up with wine and raffle prizes (we're just looking out for your health).

Well not only has Dan scuttled our weekend trip to Rich River he has now also blocked our efforts to play golf this Sunday at Bay Views so we will have to sit back and watch a couple of footy matches.

This therefore means our next round will be on Sunday September 12th at Cape Schanck (RACV) with a 8.00am tee-off. Email me know if you can play this round, I will also follow up a couple of weeks prior to the round as we will need to lock in the numbers and pay the week before.

Fingers crossed we won’t be in another lockdown next month!

Rich River Cancelled again.
Grant has managed to book a replacement round for August 15th at Bay Views, Rosebud, 11.30am tee off.
We need to confirm numbers by August 6th so let Grant know ASAP if you are playing or not.

We've travelled east over the Great Divide and found this beautiful golf course in Bellingen NSW. The outback fairways and sand scrapes have made way for tropical palms and grass greens.

Out of Lightning Ridge there is the Grawin Opal Fields and it has a golf club. It also has a pub and if you hurry, it has free beer on tomorrow!!!

This is the 10th hole at the Lightning Ridge Golf Club. The rain overnight made the course look like it only had water hazards and rough! I reckon I would have blitzed it.

Four of the Hatters boys went up to Mansfield this week to visit founding father of the Hatters, Warren Coad. He has a magnificent property 23 km on the Jamieson side. He issues a warm welcome to all Hatters (even if you’ve never heard of him) to head up there and he will take you on an extensive 4WD tour of his acreage. (Don’t sit in the front, gate duty)
He loves getting up to Rich River in August but it clashes with calving time. We learnt this week that fattened calves can be worth $1700. ( Keith l think the Bozos should have a good hard look at this investment plan..they could live in your backyard. Roger suggested sheep!)
Anyway, after a few beers and lunch at the agreeable Mansfield golf club, we decided we would bring the Hatters to Mansfield for an overnighter in November. No ski bunnies, temperature may be 20c +.
