The ever-changing colours of our spiritual heartland 💫with glowing hues of ochre, red, and purple. As the sun dips below the horizon, the sky transforms into a breathtaking canvas, and every breath carries a profound sense of peace and connection to the ancient land beneath your feet.
The moment I stood here I was overwhelmed by its grandeur, and the ever gentle hum that you can hear/feel resonating from this sacred space. At that moment, I dreamed of taking a couple here to elope — but I knew it wouldn’t be just *any* couple. I knew the couple that I would bring here would understand the cultural and spiritual significance of this area to the Yankunytjatjara and Pitjantjatjara peoples, and lean in to that with the deepest of respects while we tread softly during our time here.
I’m so looking forward to sharing more of this journey with you next month as my Elopement Couple and I share in a truly unique multi-day adventure here. I’m almost bursting at the seams!
This has probably been one of the most laborious elopements I have ever planned with many considerations and details required in making sure we’re upholding not only our cultural values and protocols (the bride and I are both Māori and upholding our values as manuhiri/guests to a sacred land) but also making sure that we understand, abide by and respect the cultural values and protocols of the Anangu 🏜️
No photo or experience is worth putting Cultural and/or Spiritual Integrity at risk - which unfortunately isn’t upheld by a lot of Photographers and Creatives when visiting this sacred land.
RAIN ☔️ ON A WEDDING DAY 😱 I promise you it’s not the end of the world! As seen here with our gorgeous couple embracing the rain and all its glory. Plus it’s where as a Photographer, I can get super creative and create art out of your images 🥹🤍
When the only way to get to your dream Ceremony spot is to hike/scramble up these ancient granite boulders for some of the best views of Girraween National Park. The ultimate adventure for your I-Dos! And well worth the climb 🤍💫

Do you ever imagine exchanging your I-Dos against the backdrop of nature’s most breathtaking landscapes? 🌄✨
Funnily enough, a common theme that I often hear from couples enquiring with me is: “We just love the way that you capture nature and landscapes” which just makes my heart sing every time I hear it 🥹🫶🏽
⛰️I was travel & landscape photographer before I moved in to weddings, and my photography is deeply inspired by my connection and reverence to nature and our Earth Mother 🌏🌿 I love nothing more than creating a visual narrative for my couples by blending their elopement portraits with the awe-inspiring beauty of our planet and natural world. Whether it’s capturing the delicate interplay of light and shadow in a forest or the unspoken bond that I feel when I meet eyes with a furry friend 🐨 the quiet moments spent capturing these wild locations is one of my favourite things about crafting my couples galleries.
I don’t just take photos; I craft timeless images that embody the raw beauty of nature and the intimate moments of your journey together. I don’t just point and shoot trees and rocks; I connect deeply with the essence of your elopement destination to capture the ✨ energy ✨of our time in that space
🤍Let’s create unforgettable memories amidst the majestic landscapes that speak to your soul ❤️🔥💫

Had the hardest time choosing faves from this sneak peek of Sylvia + Jim, who ran off to the serene Cradle Mountain, Tasmania to promise their forever to one another 💫 This day felt like we stepped in to a magical portal, as we got lost in time, weaving the magic of their union.
An incredible ceremony by and Indigenous Elder Aunty Kris who gently called us on to the land and grounded us in ceremony, this one was super spesh 💫 I hope to share more from this very special ceremony at a later date - but for now, I’m still coming down from the high of visiting such an incredible, ancient place 🏔️
**Please note that there are risks in taking floral arrangements in to National Parks and you should always check the guidelines of your National Park before doing so. These florals are native to the unique environment of Lutruwita and were grown and gifted to our Bride by our Indigenous Elder Aunty Kris Schaffer
When you’re just THAT BLOODY HYPED to see ya mans!! 🕺🏽🪩 >>>> keep swiping to the end to get a zoom in of that mirror shot from the first image to see the pumped/nervous/anxious/excited look that takes over my body when I’m trying to capture the energy and reactions of a First Look in LITERAL SECONDS 🤣🤣 IT STILL MAKES ME SH*T MY PANTS TO THIS DAY 🙃 But I love First Looks SO DAMN MUCH!
Throwback to this cheeky Elopement with Sallie & Ross and their Whitsundays Dream 🏝️✨
We opened up their ceremony by cleansing the ceremony space (and those present) and calling upon the elements so that their special day could be held in deep intention 🤍✨And the essence of that deep connection continued to flow throughout the entire day. It was light, it was ethereal, it was moody, it was romantic, it was everything that it was supposed to be because Sallie and Ross completely surrendered in to their marriage experience.
Heart Centred.
Heart Focused.

Packing for my Elopements can be SUUUPER tricky 😬 After packing the tablescape items, a SUPER condensed Hair & Makeup Kit, my Photography kit AND a weeks worth of clothes - with a 32kg baggage limit 👀 luckily I only needed to pack my swimmers for this one, so was able to free up some space on clothes to make sure I had everything needed to make this island elopement an absolute dream for my couple.
Curated Elopement Experiences are my superpower 😘🤌🏽
Post Cards from Heron 🏝️✨
Lily & Iris walking this Earth, hand in hand 🤍✨ allowing the world to completely fall away, as they promised their forever to each other. In this lifetime, and in the next.
The amount of signs and synchronicities that these two have received as confirmation from the ✨Universe✨ over the past couple of days would turn even the most skeptic in to believing in the divine weave that binds us — the thread that connects us — and the magic that happens when you surrender to it. Honoured to have had the opportunity to spend a few days with these wonderful humans and bare witness to their incredible connection 🥹🫶🏽

In the delicate tapestry of love and celebration, let us embark on a soul-stirring journey to recolonize the wedding industry. A journey that calls upon every heart to honour their heritage and embrace the profound beauty of our diverse cultural backgrounds on their sacred day.
As a storyteller of love, I am deeply inspired by the breathtaking wonders of nature and the intrinsic connection we share with the Earth. But I am also drawn to the richness of our Indigenous cultures and the profound wisdom they carry. In our traditions and spiritual insight, I find endless inspiration that moves me to my core. With each step I take, diving deeper into my own cultural roots, I am met with revelations on how to create a space of authenticity and meaning for my couples. The stories of our ancestors whisper in my soul, urging me to hold space for these precious unions in a way that resonates with their unique heritage.

Looking for ideas on how to make your Elopement or Intimate Wedding experience a bit spesh? Why not put on your fancy pants and treat your loved ones to a personalised wine tasting where you all compare notes and rate the wines for a bit of fun to ease you in to cocktail hour 🍷💁🏽♀️
Our host Gillian from guided Georgia and Tom (and co) through silly hour with lots of laughs to be had! 🙈🤣
6 years ago today, my husband and I secretly eloped to Tasmania with our closest loved ones. I wasn’t a wedding photographer back in those days, but the way that we intentionally curated every aspect of our day to craft an experience that was a true reflection of the two of us, is the sole reason that I do what I do today. I loved EVERYTHING about our Elopement and knew when I stepped in to weddings, that I just wanted to create space for others to feel free to craft meaningful marriage experiences that resonate with their souls. Heart-centred. Heart-focused.
You deserve a wedding experience that is grounded in intention and purpose. A day completely aligned to you and your two hearts.
To help inspire you, I thought I’d share a few things that made our elopement SUPER special ✨:
🖤 We actually never even got engaged. We’d already been together for 6yrs, so we decided together to just skip the engagement and elope
🖤 Because we made the decision to elope together, we also decided to walk down the aisle to our ceremony TOGETHER
🖤 We created a ceremony circle out of driftwood that we found on the beach, to create an intimate “bubble” so that our family were standing right there beside us as we exchanged vows
🖤 We didn’t walk down the isle to any particular song, instead, my brothers performed a haka to welcome us in to our ceremony space
🖤 During the ceremony, we lit a fire in honour of my father who had passed away four years prior. The fire represented his warmth and love, and was a beautiful way to recognise him on this special day. My brother stayed up all night feeding the fire to keep the flame alight until the sun rose the next day 🥹
🖤 Before the ceremony, our Celebrant had our family choose small stones from around the property, and had them each write a blessing for our marriage on the stones. After the ceremony we watched as they threw the stones and their blessings in to ocean beneath us
🖤 Oh, and white is totally not my colour, so I threw tradition out the window and had the black gown of my absolute dreams made and felt SO AMAZING 🤩
There are so many ways to make your special day so meaningful and full of love! AND OF COURSE: Happy 6th Wedding Anniversary to my darling husband 🥰💃🏽

We LOVE a pop-up picnic moment 🍸🧺✨ and this stunning tablescape was brought to life by for Gillian and Chris’ dreamy Noosa Elopement. G+C flew all the way from the USA to have their dream Aussie Elopement - and didn’t let a Public Holiday at one of Australia’s most popular beaches spoil their moment. Instead, they chose to embrace that Aussie spirit, and enjoyed their delicious picnic as they watched the sun set over the water, dolphins frolick by the shore and the locals enjoying the sun and water ☀️🌊 🤿
As we waited for the time to feel “right”, the sun dropped to a beautiful golden glow on the horizon, the beach completely cleared out, and we were provided with the absolute perfect conditions for G+C to exchange their vows. That’s what happens when you let go of all expectations and place trust in everything unfolding exactly as it should ✨✨✨

Loved these beautiful, and kind words from James & Moale 🥹
“Giddy and in love 🤍
We recently had our engagement photos taken by the beautiful soul Nikita and it was such a joy to have worked with you and your kindness. Thank you for the work you do of bringing culture into your work, it made me feel seen and comfortable to be myself in this space with my love”

Hi, I’m Nikita Pere
I’m a vivacious, thirty-something, glass-half-full (of wine), dessert first kind of gal! I’m a mum, a wife, a daughter and a sister, and my favourite way to recharge is to escape by myself to a cabin in the woods, with a roaring fire and a bottle of red!
I flippin’ LOVE weddings! My husband and I eloped to the East Coast of Tasmania – in my Black Wedding dress – so I have a real soft spot for elopements, destination weddings and the untraditional! I want everyone to feel that incredible feeling of standing on top of the world with your person and your loved ones right by your side as you say “I do” over an epic view. I love the intimacy and adventure of it all, and I would be absolutely thrilled to capture your love and your adventure, whatever or wherever that may be!
Whether it’s a backyard do, or a cliff top nuptial, get in touch and let’s see if we’re the right fit for each other!
