Last Friday, our Beyond the Broncos program held their Term 3 workshop, "Your Voice for Change," and was presented by Ryan James and Nathan Peats with school-based SSO Sheena.
This workshop encouraged students to make changes by having a voice and also looked at the importance of voting, including the Indigenous history of voting.
The workshop was well-attended by students and many prizes were awarded for their contributions or participation. Students will also receive a stationery pack to start the new semester.
This was learning at FLAKE today ๐๐

Congratulations to the open boys basketball team who competed last Tuesday at Ripley Valley SHS and took away the second place. It was a valiant effort for the team to get all the way to the grand final and nearly knock out Springfield Central to claim the top prize.
Our 9/10 boys finished in fourth place, playing some exceptional basketball adapting to the conditions and securing some hard fought wins. It was a tough competition for all players, and both Forest Lake teams played extremely well. The player's player awards went to Chance (Open) and Jerry (9/10) for their consistent effort and encouragement to all other players. Excellent work to all participants.
