I wanted to share something that has been really beneficial for my clients lately.
With the constant bombardment of screens in our lives, it's easy to get lost in them and forget about the world around us. But taking regular breaks from screens can actually improve our mental health and increase our productivity.
So why not try setting aside at least 15 minutes each day for some intentional screen-free time? It could be spending time with loved ones, going for a walk, or even just sitting in silence and enjoying the present moment.
It'll do wonders for your mind and soul!

I'm not your typical professional, I don't believe in conforming to traditional standards of what a therapist should look like or act like. I've ditched the pressed clothes & clinic feel office, & instead opt for a more laid-back atmosphere where my clients can feel comfortable & at ease.

In my sessions, you'll find me sitting on a meditation pillow or a yoga ball, while my clients lounge on the couch. This informal setting encourages open communication & allows clients to feel comfortable enough to share their deepest thoughts & feelings.

It's this relaxed atmosphere that fosters genuine conversation & encourages people to think outside the box. Whether they are seeking counselling, personal coaching, or professional mentoring, ideas flow freely in our sessions as clients can express their thoughts & ideas without any limitations or restrictions, allowing them to fully engage in the process of self-discovery & development.

Each session is tailored to the individual needs of my clients, as I strive to create a safe space where everyone feels heard & understood. I use my own tools & techniques to encourage communication, & sometimes I surprise my clients with unexpected approaches that they may not have thought possible. Though I may be mischievous at times, I assure you that no whips or chains are involved.

Take a deep breath in through your nose, hold it for a few seconds, and then exhale slowly through your mouth. Repeat this process for one minute and see how it makes you feel. Remember to take care of yourself, both physically and mentally.

Hey there! Just wanted to remind you that life can be tough sometimes, and it's always nice to have someone to share it with. If you know someone who might be going through a rough patch, why not give them a quick text, call, or even drop in and see them to let them know they're in your thoughts? It could make all the difference in the world.
Of course, I would limit the check-ins to only the people that you know and allow them appropriate privacy ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿซข๐Ÿ˜ณ

2024 - what do you expect to be different this year?
Many have New Years resolutions. Some have the same as last year.
Some have engaged the continuation of services of others for support and guidance.
Some are doing the same things this year as many before them.

There is nothing wrong with choosing to use the same tools year in and year out IF they are being applied with integrated learnings and evolve.

As we ourselves sneak ever closer to concluding the year that has been, take a moment to release.
Release passed souls to their place and revell in the shared journey of their lives
Release the anxiety and frustrations of circumstances of an event and reflect on the strength and courage you overcame them with
Release the frustrating thoughts of tasks or projects not achieved and review the obstacles that interrupted their success.
Grief comes in many forms and from many events/circumstances. Regardless, it is sneaky. The sadness, guilt, pain, and anguish will pop up from time to time. And as difficult as it can be, as overwhelming as it can feel - it's important to remember that it's all energy โœจ๏ธ that requires an outlet.

Do you know the difference between doing something for a purpose verses doing something for a reason?
Purpose - deliberate act for a return
Reason - personal feelings
For example, ask yourself these purpose questions:
1 - When brushing your hair in the morning, are you doing it for daily hair care to promote health?
2 - When washing your body, are you doing it to clean away the dead skin particles to allow the pores to expel the skins daily waste & to absorb oxygen?
3 - When getting dressed for the day, are you doing it to enable your body protection from the elements that allows it to support it's nervous system & focus on maintaining healthy body function?
Now I hear the little laugh or giggle, then the pause. How often do you consider the purpose of the daily processes?
Now, consider the following purpose questions:
1 - When speaking with someone, are you patiently listening & hearing all of their words?
2 - When you've made an error or small mistake, are you calmly acknowledging your moment of growth?
3 - When you're reading a book or even this very post, are you looking at every single word on each line?
Now, take a moment to go back through both lots of questions & answer them with a reason. Are you skipping through because you can 'speed read by selecting a few words'? Do you criticise your error or mistake as it's taken up time & was silly? Are you hearing someone's subject line in a conversation & already getting your response ready? Are you dressing yourself in something uncomfortable for the day knowing you'll regret it later? Are you washing yourself just so you 'don't smell'? Are you brushing & styling your hair to look just right & putting in place those that aren't 'behaving'?
Doing something on purpose provides a reward (if you will). So often, we 'spend' our time doing something but don't have 'time' to hang around for the reward.
Look at 'investing' your time. Brushing your hair, washing your body & appropriate dressing will reap you rewards of good health. As will being 'present' to your daily tasks & interactions

Hi there everyone!
Just a small post of huge gratitude. The past 4 weeks have been - well phenomenal actually.
And while business has continued throughout this time, the socials were paused.
Huge gratitude to all for your understanding and support while I processed the passing of a friend, supported fractured families and experienced personal growth.
It's truly important to invest time for self. There is always a lot happening either to or for us and definitely around us. When you need to decide where to rest, do it for YOURSELF.
This year has been huge - oh and did I mention it's JUNE! We are almost halfway already. But the beauty lies in the tomorrows. So remember to say your HELLOs to people, support them towards PROSPERITY and FAREWELL them on their next path.

R.E.S.P.E.C.T. Find out what it means to me ...... a good majority of people just sang that as they read!! ๐Ÿ˜‚
But seriously - respect is such a vital teaching. There have been generations of people taught to respect their elders, but the phrase often ends right there. However, the teaching isn't complete.
Yes, it's important to respect your elders. In fact, anyone and everyone deserves an element of respect. Treating others with your kindness is respectful. Being polite is respectful. ๐‡๐จ๐ฐ๐ž๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ - accepting a negative response or behaviour from someone that you've been taught to just 'respect' is a disrespectful act to yourself.
How many times in your lifetime have you not spoken up or stood up for yourself because you were always taught to respect your elders? Respect that what they say goes without question? If you look at your lifetime, you will see that not only have you conditioned yourself that way for your elders, but this is how you have been with most people.
Don't get me wrong - respect is something taught as well earnt. However, earning someone's respect is only at different levels. Respecting a person or creature enough to not bring harm is pretty much a requirement.
But quiet often, this type of behaviour is linked to people pleasing - making sure that others are happy, even at ones own expense.
Are there areas of your life you would like to shift this habit? Somewhere where you can remain true to your authentic self however, also remain respectful with others? A place where you can 'level up' some personal boundaries?
Start with a list of moments you can recall 'respect' being a little 'lack' and see what comes up for you! This may just be the shift you're looking for ๐Ÿค“

And it truly does. What you bring to each person is not necessarily the same thing. Some it will be a smile, others it will be advice and support, some you're a parent, some you're a best friend.
But always, you are sharing an integral part of yourself, your most authentic self. And what you are sharing does make a difference.
So when you're working your job, or volunteering support, or assisting someone, or simply offering a kind gesture remember - it ALWAYS makes a difference.

Truly a beautiful quote and incredibly accurate. So many forget their 'dash'. Some, a small few, remember theirs and occasionally 'reward' themselves with something 'dash-worthy'.
Sadly, some only think of their 'dash' during dire moments - an incredibly sad event, news of a projected 'here until' date, or in a moment of regret so close to their end.
What would you do for your 'dash'? Have you SERIOUSLY considered this? There is absolutely nothing morbid about it - your 'dash' is your LIFE. The time you have allocated to this moment on earth.
When (not IF) you get to your end - will there be regrets?
If you haven't already - work on your DASH. Get started with a list of absolute dreams. Then set about arranging some targets, then goals to achieve them - YOU'VE GOT THIS! Looking to start smaller - remember to go for that walk, speak to the person calling, smile at the stranger, book that ticket, buy that book - there are so many ways to live. Please don't hold yourself back - step out of the house, take that day off work, go and watch that school play, turn down some overtime (yes - financial could be difficult, but illness is much worse).
If you have been working on your dash - DON'T STOP!

They are our unconscious mind - a movie of a moment in time of what it is that we either truly desire OR a message of something we need to take note of.
Analysing all aspects and details of the dream will help to uncover symbols and signs that enable you to assign them a meaning for your understanding. Interpreting these allows all the anaylised parts to be put into context for processing.
This process teaches you how to unlock the messages of the unconscious and to explore their meanings.
Counselling with dream analysis can assist to uncover underlying emotions, thoughts, beliefs and values which may have influenced the appearance of the signs and symbols within your dreams.

We all have incredible gifts. Some have discovered them and share them every day. Others are on their path to discovery and share small bits every day.
No matter how far you are on your journey of gift giving - remember the best gift you can give anyone is yourself and your time.
If you're keen to discover your gift, start with writing your name in the middle of a page and add a circle around it. Then branch off all of the things you really like in the world (specific people, their traits, your fav foods, your fav music, your fav location/environment, etc).

Knowing when to rest is a deep practice.
Sometimes we try too hard, pushing through things. Then, when we attempt to practice mindfulness, we are forcing upon ourselves what we've seen others do - which isn't necessarily right for us. Mindfulness practice should be energising, not tiring.
When you recognise that you are tired, take care of yourself and rest, allowing your body and mind to restore themselves.
Pick up that book and read a couple of chapters. Make time for that extra cuppa. Get outside and sit on the grass or even head to the beach, lake or river.

Mindfully resting and allowing ourselves to 'recharge' is critical for ongoing function.
