Hello Lovely Parents,

I have been so blessed these past few years to support so many sleep deprived parents and babies/toddlers. I have found that due to the influx of parents contacting me, social media is no longer something that I have time for. On top of that, the vast majority of my clients find me through word-of-mouth – the best kind of marketing that has ever existed :)

Although, providing sleep tips and hints can be helpful for some, I generally find that nothing beats the quality and results that comes from one-on-one, personalised, specific support that my clients receive when working with me.

So, if you are looking for support please contact me via my website – https//sdsleepconsultant.wixwebsite.com/sleep

Please note, I will no longer be checking my instagram/facebook inbox.

Thank you to all of the beautiful families that I have worked with this year!

It has been an absolute pleasure seeing the changes come about within your family and little ones!

I look forward to supporting more babies and children in 2022 and am always thankful for your word of mouth and support.

Enjoy your littles and give them extra cuddles over the holidays! 😍

Hi mums & dads! 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

As I begin to wind down for the end of year I noticed that I only have space for 2 more clients before I take 3 weeks off over the holiday period. 🎄

If you’ve been putting off resolving your Little One’s sleep issues and are ready to make some changes, please get in contact and save your spot. 💡

I look forward to supporting you in achieving the best gift any parent and child could receive for Christmas - the Gift of Sleep. 🎁😴

Are you looking at weaning off the breast/bottle at around 12mths of age? 💙

Are you looking to make gentle and gradual changes to support your little one to wean? ☺️

💡Start by offering afternoon tea instead of the afternoon (3pm) milk

💡Next try switching the feed before their lunch nap to a yoghurt dessert after lunch.

💡You may find your baby is ready to drop the morning tea milk and replace it with morning tea snacks around 10-11mths.

💡Would you like more information or a plan of action to negotiate this change?

Send me a DM and let’s get you and bubs ready 💛

Happy Birthday to my big 4yr old! 🎉🎈

So thankful to God for blessing us with your sweet, funny & caring heart. 💛💙

Jacob was pumped to receive a toy chainsaw & is ready to cut down all the trees on the property! 💪

🤔 How much milk is your toddler consuming during the day?

🤔 Do you have a fussy/small eater?

🤔 Does your child prioritise or hold out for milk?

💡 Have a question? Pop it in the comments and I’ll be sure to answer 💡

🔸45min CATNAPPER?
🔸Did this start around 4months of age and continued? 🔸How have you responded to your child’s 45min catnaps?
🔸Have you inadvertently taught your child to catnap?
🔸has your child had the opportunity and support to resume their sleep after waking from a nap at 45mins or less?

💡 Wait a moment before you rush into their room.
💡Trust that they are capable of learning this skill when given the opportunity
💡Support the resumption of their nap in a way that you are comfortable with. I.e:

🌟IN ROOM HANDS OFF VERBALSOOTHING

Happy Father’s Day to all the awesome dads out there! May you have a spark of genius like this dad 👌🏻🌟

Feeling grateful to witness my husband fathering our children and leading our family 🙌🏻

Thankful to my dad for always being there, even if it means coming over to fix my lawn mower so I can mow 😂🙈

Another year older. 🎉

Feeling blessed and privileged to be in a position to help other mums and families 💛

Loving the changes and positive outcomes that come from well rested parents and Littles. 👌🏻

Feeling content to spend the day with my kids and husband. Feasting all day (I enjoy cooking, so I cooked), ate an amazing crepe cake made by Jörg and a game of Settlers of Catan 🤓 once the Littles were in bed 😴

Routine provides simplicity. My husband and I can enjoy evenings together because all 3 children are in bed by 7:15pm. 👍🏼

Many clients report greater freedom in the evenings and better communication/time for their partner. 🙌🏻🙌🏻

I 100% believe we need to
🌟support
🌟encourage and
🌟be kind to one another.

I also, 100% believe that
🙈wearing a mum badge of sleep deprived honour
🙈dismissing a genuine request for help/answers
🙈encouraging unnecessary parental stress
… is unfair and pointless. 💡🤦🏼‍♀️

Certainly each mum will have her own unique parenting style and choices, which is why I didn’t race on over and interrupt them. 😉However, whatever you’ve chosen to do, is not necessarily the right way for another mum.

Encourage each other to
💛seek support
💛seek answers
💛respect different methods

…and then make an educated choice about how you wish to proceed for your family. 😘

>>> My baby doesn’t know how to self-soothe

02/08/2021

Contrary to what you’ve been told - it is completely acceptable to wake your baby from a nap.

It’s a part of parenting that’s often confusing. However, in order to support your child’s night sleep, we need to ensure this is in flow with their natural circadian rhythm.

If the sun is up and your baby/toddler is having huge naps during the day and then partying in the dark/wee hours of the morning: it’s your job to help, support and nurture their sleep back on track.

So yes, YES YOU CAN WAKE YOUR SLEEPING BABY. 💛👌🏻

Joshie’s on the move!! My older two didn’t start walking till they were 16mths & 17mths. So this is very exciting for me!

Every baby develops differently and has their own individual temperament.

This is why hiring a qualified sleep consultant is different to buying a routine online.

Your sleep consultant should learn about your family, your parenting style, your child’s temperament and then create a plan that’s specific to your family life. This includes how to optimise naps if you have school/kindy drop offs, how to support a busy family and ensure that you feel comfortable with the process.

12/07/2021

Nap time & Bed time routine. Include story time as part of your Wind Down Routine.

This assists with
🔶 transition from play to sleep
🔶 consistency to cue your baby for sleep
🔶 sustainable sleep association
🔶 extra cuddles
🔶 4 - 8 books each and everyday for linguistic development, neurological growth and a love for books!
