Darshana Thapa and Ruby Matthews are both attending the King's Foundation Summer School at Dumfries House in Scotland. Here, they work with architects, artists and tradespeople to develop their knowledge of traditional architecture, design, building and repair techniques and how these can be applied in the 21st century.
Tarunpal Taak is studying at the INTBAU Netherlands ‘Let’s Build a Beautiful City’ summer school in Utrecht to learn how to create contemporary urban places where people feel at home by reflecting local traditions and environmentally sustainable design practices.
Ashish Singh Pundir will immerse himself in the Arcos de Valdevez Traditional Architecture Summer School 2024 in Portugal. Here, he will study local traditional urbanism, architecture and building details to preserve and create new traditional buildings for the area.

Last Thursday we had the great honour of being the Associate Sponsor for the King’s Trust Global Gala in New York. To be able to support the valuable work of His Majesty’s Trust in giving young people hope and confidence and a fresh start in life is of great importance to us.
The Gala was the first as the King’s Trust after the Coronation of Their Majesties last year and is co-chaired by Lionel Richie and Edward Enninful OBE. Amongst many highlights of the evening was a concert by John Legend!

Young people telling their powerful stories of success after The King’s Trust programmes sparked a standing ovation at the King’s Trust Global Gala in New York.
The Australian contingent was led by our patron and event sponsor Margot McKinney OAM and The Hon Julie Bishop.
Hosted by Lionel Richie and Edward Enninful OBE, the Gala raised funds so we can work with more young people around the world. It was the first event under our new name, following the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III in 2023.

Our Enterprise Accelerator Programme for veterans was the launching pad for Louise Burr's game changing pot plant – PerkyPod.
"It helped me to formulate concept plans and made me realise that my idea was worth committing to. It was just what I needed!" said Louise.
PerkyPod takes the guesswork out of keeping plants alive. It has an internal drainage and water catchment system and the optional built-in castor wheels make it easy to move large plants around the house or office.
Australian made, PerkyPods can be ordered online - www.perkypod.com.au
The King's Trust Australia's Enterprise Programme helps veterans and Australian Defence Force families to build the confidence, skills and networks they need to explore, start and grow small businesses. Find out more - https://bit.ly/4deFntT
