Club day 3 is coming boat racers.
Join us on the 25th of August to finish the season off with a bang. We'd love to have as many boats on the water as possible for this one.
If there is ANY information you require, feel free to get in touch.
We don't bite!
Monthly Club Meeting is on tomorrow night 7:30pm at Alberton. If you would like to attend in person, send us a PM for the address. We are always in need of volunteers, and welcome new racers, so the more the merrier!
We will also hold it on Skype as well and will post the link before the meeting. Normally the link is only setup 5 minutes before the meeting kicks off, so please don't worry if you can't see anything before. If you have issues getting on, send us a message.
Attention race fans. We are chasing a volunteer rescue/course boat and driver for Sunday. Is anyone able to help out? Lunch is provided and it’s the best seat in the house.
Monthly meeting tomorrow night, 730pm in Alberton.
Message for the address, or a Skype link will be provided just before kick off.
If you would like to know the in’s and out’s before the weekend, that’s the place to be!
Have you got your entry in for this weekends racing at Somerset Dam?
We’re down volunteers this weekend, so want pre-entries in ASAP to make the morning as streamlined as possible please!

This is a fake account. Like every club in Aus lately, we are also that cool that the scammers want to try be like us. Please do not add them. Our only posts, videos, pics etc will come from this page.
One week to go folks!
Our next Club Day is fast approaching. Sunday June 16th is the day and we would like to have as many boats on the water as possible.
Call it a club day, call it a test and tune day for Lockyer Powerfest, call it a fun day on the water.... We don't care what you call it, as long as you call in with your boat and race!
For this one as we will be down a few volunteers, we would appreciate pre-entry on the normal APBA paperwork. Please see the Drivers Pack at www.southqueenslandpowerboatclub.com.au which will step you through what you need. If you have any questions, we are more than happy to answer them, so send us a message, comment etc.

BEWARE OF SCAMMERS
Scammers are targeting clubs like ours lately with fake accounts like these. We will not send you a friend request, are not live streaming and only will post from this page.
This is a free plug about our next race meet on the 16th though. Please get your entries in on the standard APBA paperwork asap.
Club Meeting Wednesday 8/5/2024 in Alberton at 730pm. PM for the address if you need it.
If you have issues you would like raised, ideas to share for the betterment of the sport, want to stay in the loop with what is happening at the State or National level, or just want to come hang out with likeminded people, this is the place to be.
We will also provide a Skype link shortly before kick off, so please comment or PM the page if you would like to attend via Skype, or check this post for the link.
Over the next little while we'd like you to get to know our Committee and why they do the things they do. These often thankless positions are filled by volunteers, who give up their time for the love of the sport.
Starting with Mary MacMillan, our Club Secretary.
I'm sure Mary needs no introduction and if you've had anything to do with the Club in recent times, you would have met Mary. As passionate as they come, and runs a club day with the gusto of a 2 day spectacular - which might I add, she is constantly travelling the country and helping run some of the biggest meets across the country in one capacity or another. The only person I've seen on ramp duties, knee deep in water with boots and jeans still on, in the middle of winter, because "someone needed to hold that boat". A true team player.
Mary is an absolute ripper on the paperwork, and if she doesn't have it written down, you can bet it didn't happen. So next time you see her at a race day, remember, she isn't just the lady in the caravan, but someone who lives and breathes power boat racing and we've been super lucky to have her along for the ride.
Thanks Mary!
Stay tuned for more about our committee.

Another glorious day at Somerset Dam. The birds were chirping, the water was glistening, the sun was burning and the engines were roaring.
The teams that showed up should be highly commended for their continued support of both the club and the sport in general. Special shoutout to those who came from far and wide to have a day on the water.
Special thanks to our volunteers as usual. Volunteering can be a tiring, thankless job. But without each and every one of you, we could not operate. So thank you all so much.
Some good close handicap racing today and a fun day had by all.
Our next club day is 16th June, so for those of you needing things, you've got 2 months notice! Hope to see a lot more of you there.
For those North side folks - cycle event on this Sunday from 430am with road closures, so maybe have a check first!

Chasing some extra hand to help out for a half day or so on Sunday morning doing some work to Misty Voyage, our club boat, and potentially also some work on our club storage container down near Jacob’s Well.
If you’re free Sunday morning, reach out as we’d love to have you along.
Many hands make light work!
We are on the hunt!
We are chasing sponsors for the 2024 season.
This year we would like to find a Major Sponsor for the whole season, as well as some minor sponsors for the various race meets as well.
As with everything in the world, our costs to run race meetings has gone up, and as such we need to cover some of those costs to be able to continue to deliver boat race meetings in SEQ.
If you're in a position to help the club, reach out either through messenger, or contact Grant on the phone number listed on the page.
