East Gippsland Gymnastics- September 2023 Holiday Program East Gippsland Gymnastics Club is running a holiday program in the September School Holidays. There will be 1hr fun and vibrant sessions for children aged 2yrs to 12yrs. No Gymnastics experience is required but is also suitable for all skill levels of currently enrolled students.

Well done Level 3 teams. They have some wonderful routines and we received some very positive feedback from all the judges. All around champions for Gippsland 2023 teams are Jade 1st, Silver 4th and Purple 6th.

Heres the news on the Gippsland Championships 1st session yesterday for Levels 4, 5, 6 & 7. We are very proud of all the girls who competed, each of them showing determination in over coming their own hurdles to get up and perform their routines. Congratulations L4 who place 2nd over all with Ivy taking 1st for her uneven bars routines and Ruby won 2nd for floor and Beam which makes her 3rd place AA champion.
Level 5 took 3rd place team. Zailee was presented 3rd place for her Vault and Hayley received a 1st and a 3rd apparatus medals which puts her in 2nd place All around Gippsland Championship. Savannah was our only gymnast to compete L6, Sav had a fantastic competition winning 2 golds and a silver medal in the Gippsland champions and she also took out so many medals in the regional qualifiers that we lost count.
Congratulations to Heidi 1st on vault and Ayla 1st on beam at level 7, for both girls it’s their first competition at level 7 .

Congratulations to our Tumblers, all 4 girls did brilliant routines in Tumbling and Double mini. This is our first ever competition in this sport, we’re so lucky to be able to offer this in our new gym with the fantastic new equipment.

To kick off a big weekend of competition the Gippsland Grammar Bairnsdale squad are competing today at the high performance centre in Melbourne. The InterSchool Gymnastics competition is open to all Victorian School students, gymnast will compete in 6 different events including an aerobics routine that was so much fun to learn. Good luck girls.

Doesn’t this look perfect. We’re so grateful that Dre Regli and his mates came to our rescue yesterday to moved the wall bars. Now all our Gymnasts, Ninjas, Tumblers and Kindergym kids will be able to work on their upper body and abdominal strength, they will be so happy.

Help desperately needed.
we need a cleaver someone who can take these wall bars down, move them to the new gym and put them up again. They are about 3 x 3mt.
We feel this is outside our skill set but if you can help us we will give you loads of thanks and teach you how to do a very nice cartwheel in return.

Moving out and moving in day. A huge thanks to Ben and Jordy for moving all the equipment, it’s was done with such speed, strength and competence. Lads these day, not like in my day. Thanks also to John Matthews for the use of his truck and trailer. We are very lucky to have so many amazing people helping us with this move. I hope your enjoying the progress updates.

Things at coming along quickly at the gym now. Just a few small tweaks to finish off the Ninja zone. We are so excited for all our ninjas to come and give it a go. Only 12 more sleeps (except I’m too excited to sleep) before we open the doors. We will still have our ninja classes Tuesday to Friday plus we’re starting Saturday morning as well. 😁🥷

The new home of our Trampoline and Tumble classes. Yes I know it’s not looking perfect yet but it will very soon. We will be offering children 8 years and over 1 hour TnT classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 4pm or 5pm. Saturday mornings at 9, 10 or 11am. Please email us for all the information

Trampoline and Tumbling classes are the perfect sport for those who enjoy being airborne. Whether its on the trampolines, double mini trampoline or the sprung floor this sport is great for improving aerial awareness and coordination. Our classes use a systematic approach to ensure correct use and techniques are learnt. Participants will develop core gymnastics skills and safe jumping practices, including landings, various jump styles and basic rotational skills. Once basics are solid the skills can be refined and built on to create routines. Following the Australian levels program for trampoline, double mini trampoline and tumbling the sky is the limit on how far participates can go in this program. TNT challenges the mind and body to reach new goals and its fun.
1 hour. 8+ years. Mixed gender classes. No uniform required.

The gym is all packed up and ready to go. We are just waiting on the keys to our new gym so we can set up. A big thank you to our senior girls and the Thursday night team gym for helping to move some of the equipment.

Thanks so much to the willing volunteers who helped put the trampolines in and unload the Ninja equipment last week.
This Wednesday 31st May we have another truck load arriving. In this truck there will be all the parts for the new sprung floor, the beam mats and a bungee set up. And if your handy with a drill we have about 2380 screws to put in to hold the 2380 springs on the 72 sheets of ply that make up the floor.
I’m waiting for confirmation of arrival time but let’s say 9.30am till for as long as you want. Please pm me if you can help. Sorry no children aloud as this is a construction site.

Congratulations to all the gymnasts who competed yesterday at The Sue Draper Memorial Pairs Competition. Hosted by Maffra Gymnastics Club, inspired by Gordon Draper and family to raising money each year for ovarian cancer research. Special mention to Ayla and Heidi, this was their first ever competition at level 7, the skills are very challenging but they made it look easy. This duo placed equal first with a pair from Maffra.

A Truck load of equipment is arriving on Thursday 25th May (next week). We need 6 people to help unload it quickly so the driver can get away fast.
From 9.30am for a few hours.
Some of the equipment is heavy & bulky.
No children please as this is still a construction site.

East Gippsland Gymnastics is a community-based gymnastics club located in Bairnsdale, Victoria.
We have a strong recreational stream offering fun, inclusive classes for pre-kinder children through to adults. A child can progress from Kindergym (2-5yo) through to the more independent Fun Gym (5-8yo) followed by Gym Skills (8-10yo) and onto Teen Gym (10-17yo) which offers older children a great gymnastics experience training with their peers. Our competition stream provides gymnasts with the opportunity to progress through the Gymnastics Australia’s Artistic Gymnastics levels program. Our club also offers Gymstar, a skill based program that provides the opportunity to learn and perform a variety of skills with less hours of training than our levels program. The focus throughout is on physical wellbeing, learning skills in a safe, friendly and fun environment.
The club welcomes new members and is always looking for new coaches, judges and volunteers to join our dedicated team.
