Mansfield Secondary College is a high performing school in North East Victoria
Mansfield Secondary College kicked off their 2024 Snowsports program last Wednesday. Despite limited lifts in operation, the students enjoyed favourable weather conditions and their day on the slopes was memorable.
‘We feel very grateful to offer this ski program at MSC. The students learn resilience, care and respect for each other and the environment and most of all, they are offered freedom to learn and grow in their incredible backyard’, says Daniel Hough, Assistant Principal at MSC.
123 students participated in week 1 of the program, accompanied by staff and parent helpers. Without parent helpers our program could not run and we thank the volunteers.
Thank you to the annual Adams Ski & Golf Day, ran by Adams Estate Agents, which raises generous funds that subsidise the program for our students.
Unit 1 – 4 Art Making & Exhibiting students recently toured the Bendigo Art Gallery. They soaked up incredible information on First Nation’s art works, Conservation and Curation. The impressive art collection and gallery space were beautiful, and we appreciate the expertise of the guides and the professional organisation of the Bendigo Art Gallery. It’s always a pleasure taking these students on gallery tours, we had an incredible day!
Year 9 Art students have been busy working on murals of native Australian flora and fauna in our Art Department. They have shown skill and determination in their efforts to beautify the space for their peers. Thank you Summer and Hayley, you brighten up our whiteboards!!
We are looking for some dynamic people to join our team at MSC!

Mansfield Secondary College: Supporting secondary students with learning difficulties Learn more about how Mansfield Secondary College is supporting secondary students with learning difficulties.
Mansfield Secondary College is proud of our young people and their achievements. We have several of our alumni who are athletes of national and international standing.
We are pleased that the Minister for Education has chosen to name our stadium in memory of Alex Pullin. ‘Chumpy’ was a past student, a world champion snowboarder and a mentor to aspiring athletes. As a representative of his community, Chumpy flew the flag for Mansfield and Mt Buller.
We recognize and thank the school community for their feedback in the consultation process for the naming. It was another opportunity to work in partnership with our Shire Council and our community.
The stadium is a fantastic asset. We love sharing our spaces, and particularly recognize Mansfield & District Basketball Association in the way they use our resources. Here’s to more opportunities for the people of Mansfield.
Regards,
Timothy Hall

Our VCE Art Making & Exhibiting students were full of inspiration and ideas after a workshop with local artist Wendy Jagger. Students learned how motivated and talented Wendy is, due to all her studies and experiences; it was an honour to have her in our classroom. Wendy shared various techniques and offered the students individual time on their folios. Thank you Wendy, we are very lucky to have you to inspire our up and coming artists.
A reminder that the Department of Education has in place a mobile phone ban that requires students who bring mobiles phones to school to have them switched off and securely put away during school hours.
Our OES students are currently enjoying the heights of Mt. Buffalo and cooking up a storm as part of their Climbing Camp adventure!
Our Swimming Carnival is in full swing! Join us to cheer on the kids!
