Day✌🏼of Julia Creek Minischool!
Our students rocked out to classic hits at our Rock n Roll disco 🪩
Our Year 6 students and their teachers recently had the opportunity to participate in a variety of educational programs with a focus on Australia’s history, culture, heritage, and democracy by attending our Year 6 Camp to Canberra.
The Australian Government recognises the importance of all young Australians being able to visit the national capital as part of their Civics and Citizenship education. To assist families in meeting the cost of the excursion, the Australian Government contributed funding to our school to the amount of $900 per student under the Parliament and Civics Education Rebate (PACER) program towards those costs. The rebate is paid directly to the school upon completion of the excursion.
On behalf of our school community, particularly our Year 6 Students, we would like to acknowledge and thank the PACER rebate scheme for the financial support that was given to ensure that our students experience and learn about Civics and Citizenship in action.
With confidence, we can predict that our Year 6 students will take these learnings and be the leaders of our collective tomorrow.
Minischools for 2024 have kicked off this week in Julia Creek!
Our theme for this year is ‘MISOTA Rocks’ where students will be exploring Geology activities with their peers and teachers 🔎🌎
