Fellow newbie here learning one word at a time.

As someone who doesn’t know the Arabic Language, I find it very had use the Arabic words that are commonly used in Islam. Simply because I don’t know the translation so I can’t feel the connection of the words.

For example I say “Ramazan” as it’s a Turkish word and I know the Turkish language and not “Ramadan”.

So I always struggled to understand why non Arabic people ie Turkish people, were using the Arabic words and not their own language.

So now that I’ve learnt what Ramad means and how Ramadan got its name it kinda of does makes sense to use the Arabic word. 😂

Anyway this is just me in my little world taking tiny steps and making it make sense.

Ps. I’m not saying one is right and the other isn’t you do you. I’m just saying now that I understand the meaning of the word I feel “comfortable” using the Arabic word aswell as the Turkish word.

I’ve been asked by so many of you for weeks to put together an Easy Guide Boycott list that we can update fortnightly, as it’s not only getting confusing but it’s also difficult for us to remember these brands.

I’ve been thinking about what the best way to do this will be and I’ve decided to match each boycott brand with an alternative brand we can easily replace locally within Australia.

As you can imagine there’s a 💩load of research that needs to go into the alternative brands as we want to make sure we’re supporting consciously going forward.

I can’t believe his on Double digits, I remember so clearly bringing Kerem home wondering how I’d even raise him. What do I know about boys?! I was so scared and nervous we have no boys in my family.

I struggled for years & read Raising boy books to understand what I didn’t make sense to me.
Little did I know he chose me to fill in the missing chunks in my heart.

He taught me how to love unconditionally and how to be the mother I never knew I needed as a child. He healed my childhood, he pushed me to feelings I had to feel to heal and grow.

I know I said I raised this little man but at the same time I know he was sent here to guide me and teach me life.

I’m so proud & grateful to be your “mum” and “Bruh” I love you forever and always.

We also found an empty rat nest under the corner pantry 🤮and around 50 cockroaches under the kick-boards.

Believe me when I say there wasn’t a dull moment during this reno.
