Little miss Lilly is a work in progress.. Lilly came to me, Frightned & aggressive… She has been told that to allow her to be groomed she is better off being put to sleep…. I knew today I would not have been able To give her a full clip, but today I sat with her.. 5 hours I sat with her, while she was lashing out, I was patient... Lilly has quite clearly been spooked from a previous grooming experience which has resulted in being Muzzled every groom and being held down.. Patience is key, I’m not in this Business to just get dogs in & out as quick as possible, I am doing it because I have a heart for pets. & I love them.. - so every week Lilly will come stay a few hours with me until she (Hopefully) builds trust. When she came in, she was trying to bite constantly.. by the end, she was very calm and allowed me to rub around her face, eyes, even rolled over for belly scratches.. although today she didn’t allow me to groom her, she did allow me to break down some walls to learn to build trust, (each time I left the room, I needed to rebuild that trust) & that was totally okay with me…… (My butt hurts from sitting on the concrete floor though but I would do it every day for a year just to get her trust 🥹) I hope she will trust me soon!! ❤️
