Laughter is the best medicine, right?! Whilst laugher definitely cannot solve everything, there's no denying a good ol' belly laugh will lift your mood. 🎈 HAPPY 4th BIRTHDAY AWARENESS CO! 🎈 Four days of birthday celebrations as Awareness Co. turns 4! 🥳 The fourth and final tier in the 'Me, We, Us' model is, well, actually one that we added on – because it means so much to us! Because we believe that a key driver of success for every organisation is realising the contribution they make in their community. 🏠 This week, each of the Awareness Co.’ers made four Random Acts of Kindness within the community. Why? Because simply doing something for someone else, without being asked, and without expecting anything in return, makes us feel good. 🥰 Compassion and kindness can also reduce stress, boost our immune system and reduce negative emotions such as anger, anxiety and depression. Some of our birthday random acts this week included: 🌿 Donating a bag of groceries to the neighbourhood centre who help families doing it tough 🌿 Buying a coffee for the next person in line 🌿 Donating some (really good!) books to the local Street Library 🌿 Stopping for a (socially distanced) chat with a few gorgeous oldies on our morning walks Thanks for coming on our week of celebration and the 4 days of “me, we, us” ride. Happy International Happiness 😀 Day!! Ironically it’s sad that we need a day to stop and look at the “happiness” around us. For some it is a quick answer when asked what makes us happy and for others we have to dig deep to find one thing. Recently I sat with someone for at least 15 minutes in silence until they thought of one thing 🤯 Moral to the story - it may take a while but there is one piece of happy in everyday. With negatively wired brains working against us it can be tough, but it is possible. What’s your “happiness” today? Tell us or show us...👇

Day 3 of GROW. Optimising your Energy: Discovering your strengths and creating positive energy and motivation.
Many studies and research prove that when we use our strengths we are happier and experience more positive energy which lifts our wellbeing, engagement, productivity, performance and improves our relationships with others.
Do you know what your strengths are? 🤔
I bet you could name maybe a couple. Here’s a few tips on how to optimise your energy:
1. During the day keep a diary or journal of things you did that either gave you a positive boost because you are good at it and enjoyed it 🤩. How can you do MORE of these each day?
2. Remember we all have weaknesses and if you are a perfectionist this can be a real struggle for you! In the same diary/journal keep a note of things that take away your energy, that are draining. Things you don’t feel you are good at and don’t like doing 😕. How can you do LESS of these each day?
3. Do some Strength Spotting 🧐! Looking for strengths in others at work and at home is a great way to start a positive ripple. By looking for the good in others it increases our own positive energy and when we tell someone that we recognise and appreciate their strength their energy also receives a positive boost. Imagine if we all did that just once each day?
4. Lastly if you are a leader, coach, parent, teacher or someone in a role that requires you to help people grow and develop, do yourself and them a favour and focus on what is right 👍instead of what is wrong 👎. You will see increased performance and you will feel better for it.
