Researchers from Duzce State Hospital, Düzce and İlhan Varank Education and Research Hospital, Istanbul, Turkiye presented a case report of a 40-year-old male patient describing the embolization of a piece of iron trapped in the jugular vein following an industrial injury. Piece of iron after this penetrating neck injury moved from right internal jugular vein to left lower lobe of the lung within one or two hours. The authors conclude that any foreign bodies that have invaded the vascular system should be removed as soon as possible.

Researchers from Clinical Center of Serbia published original article about the value of stress echocardiography imaging and functional parameters in patients with aVR lead ST-segment elevation during an exercise stress test to detect significant left main stenosis. This article with first author Marija Petrovic and senior author Ana Djordjevic Dikic showed that the exercise-induced aVR lead ST-segment elevation has moderate sensitivity to detect significant left main stenosis. However, when it’s combined with other functional and imaging parameters its diagnostic power increases.
