Another Caribbean Island has join the International Health Information Management Associations.
A huge congratulations to the St. Lucia Health Information Management Association on this incredible milestone.
In 2018, as part of the Barbados Health Information Management Association's five year anniversary, the 2019 Health Information Management (H.I.M) graduates of the Barbados Community College held an outreach session at the St.Philip Polyclinic.
There was a presentation to the staff and patients on the importance of H.I.M, the distribution of literature on H.I.M and the sale of health snacks.
As Barbados moves steadily towards the digitizing of the healthcare system, health care security and privacy must be a major focal point. This entails the development of health privacy and security policies and laws, training personnel on security and privacy procedures, having trained security and privacy officers to aid in the management and prevention of privacy and security breaches and having the necessary security equipment and software.
Today's feature is dedicated to Ramona Kyabaggu of the Shoyma School of Graduate of Public Policy.
