/Space Robotics Society - SPROS organizes the International Rover Challenge (IRC), a competition focused on space robotics engineering. The top 26 teams were invited to participate in the on-site IRC Finals after the SDDR results were announced on November 30, 2023. The IRC finals will be held at PSG iTech, Coimbatore, India from January 24-29, 2024.

Project Altair has made it to the finals of the International Rover Challenge (IRC) 2024! Among the 24 exceptional teams, we're proud to represent our country as one of the only two finalists from Bangladesh. The final round is scheduled to take place from 24 January to 29 January 2024.

We are deeply committed to putting forth our utmost effort and attaining the optimal outcome for both our team and our nation. Your prayers and support mean the world to us.

The time to reveal the junior members of Project Altair for the year 2023-2024 is finally here.

Project Altair is overjoyed to officially welcome its junior most members on board. Altair requires expertise in various sectors in order to ensure smooth function of our rover, outreach events, competition participations, and other ventures. This drives us to be careful and selective in our screening process, and this group of talented individuals managed to make it through with flying colors. Our newest members from batch 21 have displayed much promise and dedication by means of their contributions to our cause.

We also would like to introduce senior members from batch 20, who have brought forth their sincerest efforts and merits since joining us.

These enthusiastic and bright individuals have performed outstandingly since their initiation, and we are hopeful that they will eventually make a positive impact on Project Altair and by extension, on the field of robotics and mars exploration as a whole.

The achievements keep rolling in for Project Altair members!

Project Altair would like to congratulate "Team KitCAD" and "Team Blueprint Beginners" on their incredible performance in the CAD competition segment of Ignition 2023, a national mechanical engineering festival organized by Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET).

We are delighted to report that our very own Mohammed Emon has been a part of Team KitCAD, which has been the champion. The runner-up place was secured by the Team Blueprint Beginners, which included our very own Hasin Ahmad Zafir, Serniabat Wasit Tawassaf, and Mohammad Ibrahim Hossain Khan.

After months of preparation and hard work, Project Altair made it to the finals of both ERC 2023 Onsite and ERC 2023 Remote. Alhamdulillah, it fills us with immense joy to announce that the team ranked 17th out of 25 finalists (2nd in Asia, 1st in Bangladesh) in ERC 2023 Onsite Final and 14th in ERC 2023 Remote Final!

This year, the competition in both editions was harder than any other year. 54 teams battled it out in the preliminary round of onsite edition and 30+ teams fought hard in the preliminary round of remote edition. The team qualified for the final in both editions having faced fierce competition. In the end, the team put in a valiant effort in achieving these remarkable outcomes.

The team's success has been greatly enabled by the generous support of this year's sponsors and strategic partners.
