GITAM international student from Nepal shares her experience:

“Hello everyone! I am Asmita Nepal . I am from Nepal and it has been almost 2 year since I am here in GITAM. I’m a second year Bsc nursing student and I would like to share my experience as an international student here at GITAM.
I still remember my first days when I came here, I felt very nervous before coming because I was travelling to a foreign country and don’t know anyone here. But within a few days after my arrival at the international hostel I made a lot of friends. The people here have welcomed me and made me feel safe. Now after living a year here I feel GITAM is rather my second home.
The learning experience in GITAM has been quiet good. The infrastructure and the equipments are of very high quality. Our teachers are good natured and supportive in terms of academics. I am sure that after graduations I will be having all the necessary skills to kick start my career in the real world.
GITAM is also a place where we have the opportunity to take part in lot of extracurricular activities as well. The sport facilities here include a cricket stadium, badminton courts, table tennis, lawn tennis and gymnasium and etc. The campus itself is vast, and is covered in lush greenery with many gardens, where one can find peace of mind to relax or to study. This is one of the main reasons I have chosen GITAM.
I live in a twin sharing room along with another friend and it is furnished pretty well to carter our needs. We eat in the international canteen where we can get many types of food like dosa, sambar, idly and many more and according to festival we also get special food like kfc, biryani. I can say that the food here is one of the best I have tasted so far in India.
I would like to thank my parents and complex team who sent me into such a wonderful university.
Lastly I would suggest every one out there looking to study abroad to choose GITAM for higher study and it will be a decision they will never regret.”
