A warm Felicitation to our respected Prof. Ashraful Alam Sir, for being newly appointed as the Vice Chancellor of Sylhet International University. It is a matter of vanity and dignity for us and our department. We are having a finest moment. We hope that it will be a benignant wend for you Sir.

We are excited to know that for the very first time a globally renowned sustainable Safety and Quality ensuring strategic Company "Intertek Bangladesh" is offering us a free training session with the collaboration of CHEMAAS. মহান স্বাধীনতা দিবস-২০২৩ উপলক্ষে শাবিপ্রবির রসায়ন বিভাগের পক্ষ থেকে পুষ্পস্তবক অর্পণ। এই অনুষ্ঠানে উপস্থিত ছিলেন বিভাগীয় প্রধান প্রফেসর ড. শামীম আরা বেগম, বিভাগীয় শিক্ষকবৃন্দ, রসায়ন সমিতি ও বিভাগের ছাত্রছাত্রী।✨

আন্ত:বিভাগ ফুটবল প্রতিযোগীতার আগামীকাল নিজেদের প্রথম ম্যাচে পরিসংখ্যান বিভাগের মুখোমুখি হবে রসায়ন বিভাগ।
খেলা শুরু হবে বিকেল ৪ টায়।
সবাইকে উপস্থিত থেকে খেলোয়াড়দের উৎসাহ প্রদানের জন্যে আহবান জানানো হচ্ছে।

Attention all sports enthusiasts! The Chemistry society is proud to announce its indoor games, 2023 tournament. We invite you to come and join us for a week of thrilling games and friendly competition.

We've got a variety of games to choose from, including badminton , chess, carrom , ludo, uno and more. Participants can compete individually or form teams with their friends. Not only will you have the chance to show off your skills, but you'll also get to meet and connect with your seniors and juniors of department. So, join us whether you're a seasoned player or a newbie, there's something for everyone at our tournament.

Date: starts from 9/3/2023, Thursday.

Venue: Academic building B; Room no. : 211, 213, 301.

Three NEED-based scholarship opportunities for SUST undergraduate students majoring in any Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) subject. The scholarship amount is a total of Tk 40,000/year.

1. Professor Goranga Dev Roy Memorial Scholarship for undergraduate students majoring in Mathematics only. This scholarship is sponsored by Prof. Gourango Dev Roy Memorial Foundation. This scholarship is offered in recognition of the contribution of one of our Legends of the Department of Mathematics, SUST Professor Dr. Goranga Dev Roy (late)
as an expression of our deepest respect and honor for our legendary teacher.

2. Professors Roy-Mondal-Miah Scholarship for any STEM major undergraduate students. This scholarship is funded jointly by some STEM alumni of SUST and Prof. Gourango Dev Roy Memorial Foundation. This scholarship is offered in recognition of the contribution of three Legends of the Department of Mathematics, SUST as an expression of our deepest respect and honor for our legendary teachers:
Professor Dr. Goranga Dev Roy (late)
Professor Dr. Miraj Uddin Mondal (late)
Professor Dr. Serajul Hoque Miah (late)

3. Women in STEM scholarship for undergraduate women students majoring in any STEM subject. This scholarship is funded by some STEM alumni of SUST to encourage more women in STEM fields.

Description and requirements:
i. Any undergraduate student majoring in any Science Technology Engineering or Math (STEM) subjects are eligible to apply.
ii. the Selected student (who need this support) will receive Tk 20,000 in the first semester.
iii. Students will need to maintain a GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 scale to receive the rest of the Tk 20,000 scholarship for the next semester.
iv. Students' progress reports signed by at least two SUST STEM faculty need to be submitted at the end of each semester.

How to apply:
An application packet will include:
i. applicants' resume/CV, demographic information,
ii. transcripts or Marksheets of SSC, HSC, or equivalent up to the last semester of study,
iii. recommendation letters from at least three SUST faculty, and
iv. a statement of purpose for the scholarship.
