Based on that research, here are the 5 most popular types of construction equipment:

1. Excavators
Excavators are large pieces of equipment that use hydraulic power to coordinate the use of a boom, stick (or dipper), and bucket to accomplish digging, demolition, trenching, material handling, and other earthmoving projects. The base of the boom, operator cab, engine, main control valve, and main hydraulic pump make up the excavator’s body or house, which sits on top of an undercarriage with wheels or tracks. 2. Loaders & Skid Steers

4. Backhoes
