I first saw The Waterboys live at Rock Werchter in 1986. I was 14, so my brother took me because I was too young to walk around on my own. This gig changed my life. Mike Scott and the rest of the band mesmerised me. After the gig, I knew: that's what I want to do. Make music and share it on a stage. Many years later, it's an honour to be able to say that I was able to make music with Mike Scott himself and I can call him a friend.
