Inspiration tape #14: 'Golden Slumber's by The Beatles
Inspiration tape #14: 'Golden Slumbers' by The Beatles. The last one. Looking forward to finally sharing the big news with you. 😍

Inspiration tape #13: ‘Jealous Guy’ by John Lennon
John & Yoko forever. ❤️ Inspiration tape #13: ‘Jealous Guy’ by John Lennon. Only one more to go.

Inspiration tape #12: 'Something' by The Beatles
The final part of the inspiration tapes, that I’ve been sharing with you the last couple of months, will be three songs by my biggest inspiration: The Beatles. The first one is the most beautiful love song, written by George Harrison. ❤️ Inspiration tape #12: ‘Something’ by The Beatles.

Inspiration tape #11: 'A Hard Rain’s A-Gonna Fall' by Bob Dylan
Bob Dylan tought me how to play in open tuning. That’s how I started to play guitar. Only later I started using real guitar chords. My song 'The Best Is Yet To Come' I wrote in an open C tuning with The A string tuned down to an F. With the capo on The second fret. Hahaha, for the freaks! Inspiration tape #11: 'A Hard Rain’s A-Gonna Fall' by Bob Dylan.

Inspiration tape #10: 'The Unforgettable Fire' by U2
I was 14 years old when I started playing music. My biggest inspirations were The Beatles, Neil Young and U2. I saw U2 as feisty and cool. Here's inspiration tape #10: 'The Unforgettable Fire' by U2.

The ultimate Oasis track. Noel Gallagher, definitely one of my favourite songwriters. Inspiration tape #09: 'Cast No Shadow' by Oasis.

Inspiration tape #08: 'Kare Kare' by Crowded House
Great memories of all the Crowded House concerts, every time this song comes along. Inspiration tape #08: 'Kare Kare' by Crowded House. ❤️

Inspiration tape #07: 'Video Games' by Lana Del Rey
A beautiful, melancholic melody full of emotion. With a text that tells the opposite. The chorus brings out a tear every time I hear this song. Inspiration tape #07: 'Video Games' by Lana del Rey.

Inspiration tape #06: 'Like a Hurricane' by Neil Young
Inspiration tape #06: 'Like a Hurricane' by Neil Young. To be his support act was a dream come true. ❤️

Inspiration tape #05: 'The Whole Of The Moon' by The Waterboys
I first saw The Waterboys live at Rock Werchter in 1986. I was 14, so my brother took me because I was too young to walk around on my own. This gig changed my life. Mike Scott and the rest of the band mesmerised me. After the gig, I knew: that's what I want to do. Make music and share it on a stage. Many years later, it's an honour to be able to say that I was able to make music with Mike Scott himself and I can call him a friend. Inspiration tape #05: 'The Whole Of The Moon' by The Waterboys.

Inspiration tape #04: 'Het Gaat Niet Over' by Henny Vrienten
Inspiration tape #04: 'Het Gaat Niet Over' by Henny Vrienten. Comes from 'En toch...', for me personally his finest album. A great musical influence throughout my life.

Inspiration tape #03: 'Our House' by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young
Inspiration tape #03: 'Our House' by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. This song learned me to play the piano when I was 17 years old. The most beautiful song of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. 💕
