The mind always comes late to the party, goes straight to the DJ and asks to change the music.
In others words reality is perceived after the fact and subsequently rejected by the mind: this is not enough. Well too little too late mate: it already is.

Learn to be the observer.
It is because awareness has no qualities of its own that it can assume the form of all the qualities of experience.
– Rupert Spira
The world can't seem to do without problems. Its future has always been uncertain and the end always near. It is the human condition.
If we did not feel a lack, we would not be seekers and there would be no apparent separate indivudual frantically looking for something better.
In other words: lack is the engine of the personal self, the ego. Which is why we are always and perpetually in trouble.
Awareness and consciousness for me are synonyms and point to the awareness/consciousness every apparent person refers to when they say "I" or "I am".
Awareness is thus what we are. But we can not know it objectively. It can not be perceived and known like we know a tree or a word or a feeling. It is not an object in awareness and it doesn't have any qualities.
Consciousness/awareness is the constant background of experience. It is the container of all objects in awareness. Being in the background of our experience and lacking attributes it gets overlooked because we are too focused on the objects in awareness. And also because the mind can only perceive objects. Because of this overlooking we (mis)identify ourselves with what we perceive: the objects we are aware of like a feeling, a job, a rank, a name.
We know awareness by being it and it is always there. Whether we realize it or not. Without it, nothing would appear. Consciousness is the only constant in our experience: objects come and go, consciousness is always present, always here, always now. Therefor it can be said that consciousness or awareness is all there is.
In a glimpse this is seen in all its overwhelming beauty.
Our whole way of seeing things gets turned upside down and we find ourselves in the arms of the beloved: enveloped by unconditional love. In this glimpse we also for the first time find certainty.
Glimpses can be very helpful and because they are so overwhelming they can also cause a lot of confusion. That said mine was the best thing that ever happened to me. I needed my belief system to be nuked in order to break free from it. Trying to describe this none-event is sure to cause only confusion in the listener which is why I seldomly refer to it. I prefer to point to what is closer to home for the listener.
This turning our attention inwards also happens when we are asked: "Are you aware?" We become aware of being aware albeit in a less dramatic way. We minimize this none-experiece but in fact it is where the magic happens. It is the bridge between the world of thought and the world of perception. In it lies the answers to all questions and it is closer than your next thought.
It also happens when we get what we want in life. Because we temporarily stop lacking and thus stop seeking and as a result attention also turns inward, towards itself. This is known as happiness. It is awareness being aware of itself. In sanskrit this is expressed by the words sat chit ananda: sat = being; chit = awareness; ananda = bliss. Being aware of being aware is happiness.
My advice to any reader: don't dissect the phrases and try to find fault in my wording. Try to step back and see what is pointed at. Then try to verify it for yourself in your own present experience.

A common adage is that you need to work hard and suffer if you want to achieve success. I think that is a dangerous and even damaging statement. Why? Because it focuses on the negative. The iceberg-success-image works like death warnings on ci******es: it feeds people’s fears and therefore keeps them stuck.
Maharishi once said that if he had known what a bad reputation the word “meditation” had in the West, he would not have named his technique “Transcendental Meditation”. One of the reasons people don’t meditate is because they think it is something very difficult to achieve and even impossible for them. The opposite it true: meditation is easy and everybody can learn it, fast and effortlessly.
Yet another painful example of this idea is found in therapy. Recovery can only be achieved after great sacrifice. To quote the late Emil A. Gutheil: “One of the more common illusions of Freudian orthodoxy, is that the durability of the results corresponds to the length of therapy."
The same myth applies to training: new skills can only be acquired after working hard for a long time. It is what we call in NLP a limiting belief that shapes your reality and holds you down.
Of course, if you do not get out of bed in the morning, nothing is going to happen. However it is far more important to realize that SUCCESS IS THE RESULT OF BEING CURIOUS AND PLAYFUL, TRYING NEW THINGS, TAKING RISKS, LISTENING TO YOUR HEART, HELPING OTHERS, EXTENDING LOVE and last but not least: HAVING FUN AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE!!! And one could add that sometimes success can come instantly and effortlessly!!
Last but not least: I think “being successful” is a very poor goal to go for. You can do so much better than that!!! Now go out there and DO IT!!!

Browsing Facebook It seems non-duality is about being right and proving others wrong even when they are basically saying the same thing. Instead of being open and exploring and sharing in an playful and receptive way.
A result of a toxic cocktail of algorithms and the human condition.
People somehow get the idea that the truth needs promoting and defending and that they are the one who is going to do it by trying to win people over by basically being rude and aggressive. It would be sad if it wasn't so funny at the sam time.
Language is intriniscally dualistic and therefore very unpractical to communicate what can't be put into words. And it's much easier to find fault than to understand what is being pointed at. The suggestion is not just in the words.
Focus too much on the words and you will miss the message. 👉🌝
