The Spark that Created JASMO

Imagine a cold winter day during the Christmas Holidays in January 2015. My three children wanted to see the Hobbit in Georgetown Movie Theater at 3:00 pm. Once arrived, I discovered the movie would last 3.5 hours... By the time we would be out of the movie theater, and getting home, it would have been 7:30 pm. What to do after the movie for dinner? Start cooking myself to get that fresh, tasty meal on the table? Going out to a restaurant was no option as we did that the day before on Saturday. Nor was take-out an option as we did that on Friday evening. We all felt we just wanted to stay home that evening. So I was desperately looking for a solution on my phone to find someone replacing me in the kitchen... Someone who was a few clicks away and who could come to my house to prepare a healthy, tasty meal from scratch, in my kitchen. It did not exist. There was no alternative than creating a technological platform myself, connecting tired customers like me - who care about their family and about what we are eating - to good home cooks. And that is how this story started.
