Only 5 weeks to go until the World Championship in Aiguebelette! Practices are going well! I want to thank my nearest friends, family and sponsors for the support during these hard days!

Als verzekeringsmakelaar willen wij ons steentje bijdragen tot het financieel ondersteunen van drie topatleten die aan de Olympische Spelen van Rio willen deelnemen.

De drie atleten zijn: Eveline Peleman (roeien - Olympische Spelen), Jolien D'hoore (wielrennen - Olympische Spelen) en Sven Decaesstecker (zwemmen - Paralympische Spelen).

Atleten zouden 100% van hun tijd moeten kunnen benutten om (keihard) te trainen om hun doel te bereiken en goud te behalen in Rio. Helaas is de realiteit anders. Helaas moeten de meeste atleten hun eigen spaarboek of anderen aanspreken om financieel meer te kunnen doen dan normaal want, geef toe, de Olympische Spelen is ook meer dan normaal.

Hoe minder zorgen zij hebben, hoe beter zij zich kunnen concentreren en concentratie is net één van de belangrijkste onderdelen bij het triomferen.

This will be my first international race in the heavyweight categorie!
I hope to have a good feeling during the races! After a lot of medical and mental problems. I changed some stuff in my head and I hope I will never make again the same mistakes!

UPDATE!
During the holiday I went for one week on trainingcamp in Varese and one week with the Belgium team in Hazewinkel.
We finished this period with the national time trials. The first two races were not that bad. Due to a small back injury I had to quit on sunday. After some medical examinations I received the permission to race this weekend during the Belgian Championship and to row my first big race of the year in 2,5 weeks in Slovenië World Cup 1.
