We kunnen wel zeggen dat Guantanamo Bass altijd een van de hardste drum&bassfeestjes in gent in die periode is geweest. Vaak afsluiten met een vleugje core na nen gansen avond crossbreed & neuro.. Maar als allerlaatste plaat ooit den dezen, helemaal mooi!

!! EVENT UPDATE !!

Wow nearly 2000 attendings! Fun fun fun but due to the high amount of attendees we're forced to raise the entrance fee up to 8 EUR. However this is not for nothing. This allows us to expand the location which enlarges our capacity (equals more place to party) but please note this comes with a lot of extra expensens. We've also managed to get full access to the outdoor pool meaning everybody can go in for a swim. weather forecasts are looking pretty favorable so hope we have your support on this as well.

What a good vibe last thursday. You guys made us regret our decision a couple of times! Big shoutout to the dj's (to all of those we've booked in the past years). Thanks to the crew and those who have been their from the start. And Kazzual & Artoo, thanks for replacing Burnd on such short notice, and for this track to finish it all. What a tune to end an era! Big love to our ravers, we'll see you around.

Talking about dj's who could've easily made it to our best off line-up! Only reason 'VC' isn't playing on our last edition is because he has played at 7 of the 9 events we've did this far. However, we will always be very gratefull for the massive sets he has played for us! Happy birthday brobeans DJVC!

Niet lang geleden las ik dat de Guantanamo Bass editie in februari de laatste zal zijn. Ik, student in Gent en fervent drum&bass fanaat, vind dit uiteraard zeer spijtig nieuws om te moeten horen. Guantanamo Bass was voor mij (en ongetwijfeld vele anderen) een van de beste feestjes die er waren op regelmatige basis in Gent.

Samen met Steam hielden jullie min of meer een monopolie op de Gentste drum&bass scene. Veel meer alternatieven waren er niet. Die waren ook niet nodig. ....

Daar doen we het dus voor!

Nen goeienavond harde kern!

We komen waarschijnlijk met het eerste slechte nieuws sinds we begonnen zijn.Wat al een tijdje in de lucht hing, is vandaag ook definitief beslist. Aangezien zowat de hele crew hun interesse de laatste maanden aan het afnemen is, hebben we besloten om te stoppen met de Guantanamo Bass feestjes in 't steegske. We hebben het gevoel dat we er alles hebben uitgehaald en de uitdaging ligt volgens ons bij ons house-concept Sone. Andere zalen in Gent spreken ons voorlopig ook niet aan, wegens teveel risico voor 3 studenten. Wij willen bij deze alvast iedereen bedanken die ons de afgelopen jaren hebben gesteund : Alle dj's, vooral de resident, onze vaste werkers, JulesPhotography (pictures), Mattias Dominguez (artwork) en natuurlijk de harde kern.
Aangezien 9 toch ook maar een raar getal is om te stoppen, en uiteraard om onze talrijke vaste ravers nog eens te kunnen uitzwaaien, hebben we wel besloten nog 1 laatste editie te geven. Hier zullen onze favoriete dj's van de afgelopen 9 edities nog een laatste keer de hardste, duisterste plaatjes voor jullie komen draaien! We hopen uiteraard dat we de gekende gezichten nog een laatste keer zien verschijnen.. "to go out with a bang!'
