Ellie Wiesel once said, "To forget the Holocaust is to kill twice." Today, on Yom Hashoa, we remember the 6 million Jews taken from our nation too soon. The 6 million Jews murdered for just being a Jew.
Thank you to for this emotional work, showing the past, while also reminding us that we can move forward and there is a future for our Jewish nation.

“The Na Nach Bus” by Aliza
As Aliza says…
It all started with this bus! Every time I’d see it I’d picture everyone singing and dancing! There is a feeling, an energy that goes with this bus that pulls you in and makes you want to dance as well. Rebbe Nachman says, “It is a great Mitzvah to be happy always!” Swirling with these psychedelic, metallic colors, let’s dance and join the party too!
The pasuk in this painting is,
ושמחת בחגך והיית אך שמח!

Anyone recognize this Torah Giant? He is a voice of reason and truth. His excitement and words (even in Yiddish while I read subtitles) draw any listener in. He is fierce in his words and knows his Torah. In our house, his weekly commentary is printed out and truly enjoyed.

Ahava by Shabsai
Rabbi Abraham Isaac Kook, the first Chief Rabbi of Israel, taught that if the Second Temple was destroyed and the people were sent into exile due to sinat chinam (baseless hatred), then the Temple will be rebuilt and the people would gather again through the act of ahavat chinam, baseless love.
There it is: the antidote to hate is love. Acting out of baseless love would mean that we treat all people with the same respect and deference, equally caring for human needs, listening to those whose perspectives are different with an attitude of humility, seeking understanding. The nine days leading up to Tisha B'Av is an uncomfortable reminder of the destructive power of hatred and how in this time in history, we are in need of acts of love.

The Rebbe’s Vision by Shabsai
The Lubavitcher Rebbe A”H would give answers and advice to many people coming to him. Whether it be for ideas, a blessing, or direction, many times it was an answer that the person asking did not understand why the Rebbe would give that answer at that moment. Only after months or years would the person that came to the Rebbe be able to see the clarity of why the Rebbe gave that answer. Looking closely to a situation, you may not be able to see clearly, but when you take a step back and can see the whole picture, it comes into focus much more clearly.
