what are these?
As the name itself suggests these are a group of words that act like a preposition.
1.By Dint of: It is used to express an attribute to something.
Ex. Ram succeeded in his business by dint of his perseverence and hard work.
2.By virtue of : This expresses that by virtue of the power vested in him/something (for his pisition or office) he/it is cspable of doing something.
3. In behalf of: it is used to express that someone does something in the interest of someone else.
Ex. A medical decision was made in behalf of the patient.
4.On Behalf of: used when speaking for someone.
The representative of the company will speak on behalf of the CEO. of the company.
