Videos by The Closet Merchant Belgium. I organize your wardrobe into capsule collections to get the most value from what you already own, and save you time and energy in deciding "what to wear"!
Hi Everyone! I am so excited to show you this video that I made with my husband Paul who happens to be a Powerpoint master.
Whether you are a fashion designer creating a collection, a visual merchandiser creating wardrobing and styling for a store, or just someone with a closet full of clothes, there is always a source of inspiration when creating a collection.
If you are looking for new ways to style yourself, the first thing you need to do is edit your wardrobe. Get rid of any items that are out of season, are stained or damaged, don't fit, or you just don't like anymore. After or during this process you may find that you have items left over that you love but need to find new ways to pull them back into the mix.
This is where looking for some inspiring ideas helps. I recommend looking at runway shows (on the Vogue Runway app) or Instagram, Pinterest, or actual fashion magazines. You want to look at high-end designers first. But don't get discouraged or think "these people are crazy!" See what you actually like or can relate to. Sometimes it's a color story, a shape, accessory combination, or even a whole outfit.
Then take this into your wardrobe and see what you can create! Looking great while using what you already have not only saves you money, but is more sustainable for the world. Here is a video of the first example I made. I will be doing more over the next few weeks.
Let me know what you think!
