As true as this sounds at first glimpse, all creatives involved in the floral industry, may it be growers, sellers, florists or designer know very well that there’s more to that moment of joy than just the flower itself.
Work, knowledge, art, passion and dedication create a context for beauty to enfold and from there on, nature takes over.
This special event honours a beautiful tulip variety, which will bare the name of Tomas De Bruyne.
A day full of joy is to be gained during this exceptional event, dedicated to the beauty of a flower and the efforts put in by people to make it shine!
The theme of the day is inspired by the tulip itself and it promises to be an interesting, educational, but above all fun-packed and certainly memorable!
The experience involves:
taking stunning pictures in the blooming fields,
enjoying an afternoon of fun and networking,
learning about the process of cultivating these iconic flowers,
experiencing a unique design by Tomas De Bruyne, setup in the middle of the field and
many more surprises!
When a top designer attaches his name to a new tulip, you can expect high-profile floral art enfolding and in that note, the christening of the TDB tulip installation will be the highlight of the celebration!
We’re welcoming you to join us in celebrating this unique variety of tulip. Experience the potential it brings to the world!

As the poet among the floral event designers, De Bruyne’s original style and personal urge for everything that is beautiful make his creations extraordinary. His ability to create magical floral installations is because of his power to create concepts playing in space design where he combines functionality with the aesthetics. Author of over 15 books, Tomas De Bruyne is an international floral designer who reached the top by winning multiple international awards. From personal decorator for Swarovski family over doing multiple large scale floral installations for Indian Weddings to Senior advisor for the Olympic Games in Beijing, he creates artistic designs within the customer’s commercial framework. In 2005 he was honored with a new variety of Gloriosa lily flower which was officially named after Tomas De Bruyne with Princess Nora, wife of HRH Prince Saud of KSA as patroness.
