The struggle is real 😂

Yes, we would prefer younger newborns as they are so much easier to settle and pose in those curly sleepy poses. We will always book you in within the first couple of weeks if you’ve booked in advance. But sometimes life gets in the way, and when you realise you would like some professional photos of your baby, they are already passed the recommended newborn age. And many photographers will turn you away because it’s not so easy to settle them in. But I always say, every baby is different, and as long as you are aware of what’s possible and what isn’t, there’s no reason why we can’t book you in for beautiful photos of your baby 😍 Is your baby already over 3 weeks old and you’d like some photos? Then don’t hesitate to contact us sooner :)

As much as we would love to share those beautiful images we take of you and your family, one thing is for sure. We will never post them without your consent. Everyone has a right to their privacy. True story:I had a client ask me on message before booking, if I will be sharing her photos. I said no, I won’t unless she agrees. She booked with me (thank you for your trust)During the session as always when the baby was feeding, I usually sit and just chat to the parents. Over everything and anything that comes up. And the topic of sharing the photos online came up again. While talking, she mentioned that for her first baby, she had gone to another photographer. And the same photographer for her second baby, had mentioned that the option of privacy isn’t available anymore. That if she went ahead to book in, the photos will be shared online for advertising. Whether she liked it or not. Now I understand that sometimes it can be difficult to advertise when many clients are asking for their privacy. But this is when there’s something called ‘model calls.’ Model calls are basically asking for someone or people to model for you, to practice, for marketing purposes, or even trying out new setups. And with this there should always be an agreement between the 2 parties. It’s simple. So to clarify: 1. We do not share your photos without your consent. 2. We do not charge extra for your privacy. (Yes other photographers do this which is actually illegal)3. At any time you would like to revoke your consent, just let us know, and we would be happy to remove any images or videos (but please don’t 😂)Would you like more info for a newborn session? Things that just make sense during a newborn photoshoot in the studio: •The baby shusher and rockit to help soothe and calm the baby. •The puppy training pads, to catch all the accidents. •The extra heating to keep baby warm. •The burp cloths for wiping drooling milk and reflexes. •And the hand gels to disinfect our hands before touching baby.
