⛰Ten years ago, we named our company after the Belasitsa Peak, Tumba, and our passion for the outdoors still brings us together. We challenged ourselves by hiking to the top of Mount Olympus at 2918 meters and enjoyed various team-building activities on the beach. It was fantastic to spend time together outside the office and discover our colleagues' talents beyond their technical skills like mountain climbing, heavy lifting, memory challenges, drawing, swimming, and drink tastings.🎨🧩🥂

Today, we took part in a business-to-school networking event hosted by TUES, where we introduced our DevCamp program.
This initiative enables 11th graders to spend their summer mastering new skills in mobile development for iOS or Android. Our experts not only share their knowledge with students but also offer supervision to those interested in developing graduation projects in mobile technology.

Over the last couple of years, we have welcomed 8 new junior developers to our team following their participation in DevCamp. We are excited for the next edition of the program in 2024.

A decade ago, we launched Tumba as a company with a team of less than 10 tech experts. Now, we've grown to over 50 and are still expanding. Today is one of Bulgaria’s biggest holidays - the Day of Bulgarian Enlightenment and Culture. We celebrate the Cyrillic alphabet and honor its creators the brothers St. Cyril and St. Methodius and their students.

This day reminds us of our Bulgarian heritage and the power of written words. In our increasingly tech-driven world, we can easily see how written code changes realities the same way as books and literacy are changing minds.

Today, we welcomed participants from the Tumba DevCamp 2023 program, now 12th graders from TUES and John Atanasov, as they prepare for their important thesis defense. They confidently presented their graduation projects to their supervisors from the Tumba team.

We are delighted to see the progress these young developers are making and we are proud of their commitment to learning and overcoming challenges. Some of the project ideas began in the same room during the module "Turning An Idea Into A Business Opportunity" part of the DevCamp program.

Today, we hosted students from the Technological School "Electronic Systems" (TUES) to the Open Doors Day at Tumba Solutions office. The initiative aims to provide young minds with insights into real-world office experiences. Students showed great curiosity in learning about the technologies we use, workflow organization, daily tasks, business development, and more.
Additionally, we introduced our Tumba DevCamp program, offering students opportunities to learn the basics of mobile development during their summer vacation and be even more prepared for their first real job.

From April 20-21, we had the honor of being part of TUES Fest, seeing the innovative ideas of the young IT generation. With a strong core of TUES alumni in our team, we were privileged to serve on the project jury and award two promising 9th and 10th-grade projects with the Tumba Award.
