Creating stories with roving wool
My name is Julia, I come from Madrid, Spain, and since I can remember, I was always creating things, mainly for decorating my space and as gifts for friends. But the big moment came when I arrived in Bulgaria and got immersed in its amazing wool crafts traditions. I discovered the techniques of wool felting, marveling with the huge potential and unleashing my creativity to an extent I couldn't find with other materials.
I started with flowers: all shapes and colors! the fairies followed and then I wanted to put legs and accessories, so they could tell a story. Each doll has one, its up to you to unfold it. They are magical and unique creatures, done with love and care.
The materials I use are 100% natural and genuine: from the wool roving I get from a Greek shepherd, the crystal beads from antique shops, to the twigs, pine cones and wood I find in the forest.
Recently, I have been incorporating new fibers, such as mohair and silk thread, which make my little creatures look softer and shinier!
It is my hope that each creation will fill a room with natural beauty and delicacy, bringing joy into your home.
