Business Continuity Planning brings many benefits to businesses, some of which are:
- keeps your business running during and after a disaster
- recovers operations faster after interruptions
- reduces costs and duration of disruptions
- mitigates risks
- builds customer confidence and safeguards your reputation
- develops confidence within the business
- save lives, in dangerous situations such as fire

Insurance policies will cover your physical losses but will never cover all of your lost revenue. No insurance policy will cover the cost of rebuilding and recovery of your business. And they will definitely NOT recover your reputation losses.

Business Continuity Planning (BCP) is an integral part of any business. It is not a project but an ongoing and critical daily process or you risk business failure. As with any critical process, startups must make time for BCP. The development of the plans can be outsourced to experts to allow you more time for other tasks.

No one can be expected to know what to do in the confusion of a disaster. Each person may take decisions individually that would further complicate recovery. A well-documented and tested plan will ensure that all persons have the same understanding and efficiently execute the recovery plan.
