GHIC family recognizes and appreciates everyone who walked with us throughout this semester, it was a successful term however, it has not been easy but God enabled to sail through in all the challenges and managed to finish it successfully. We look forward to a brighter semester 2 come next year 2024.
On 8th December 2023, we had a colorful Christmas dinner where the GHIC fraternity and some invited guests joined us for the dinner, it started with a sermon from pastor Casmir where he shared a word of God. This was followed by an intriguing/fascinating entertainment set pieces from our talented students i.e., Modeling, Modern dance, solo freestyle music, orchestra band which presented some Christmas carols etc.
Later, the most outstanding Students and staff in different categories were awarded with certificates, School branded diaries, trophies and other prizes. Congratulations to the awardees keep it up.
The school director thanked everyone for the successful semester as he also made other communications.
Finally, it was time to feast, where the GHIC family and the invited guests happily shared a meal.

As we bring the first semester to a close, our students were involved in an entertaining Debate contest in which the affirmative side emerged the best winners.

In a bid to improve the academic performance of our learners, we held an ACADEMIC CLINIC on Saturday 7.10.2023. This was an interaction between the parents, students and the faculty on Academics, discipline, students welfare and general school life. A tight friendly football match held on 30th Sept 2023 at the ETP grounds : 𝑮𝑯𝑰𝑪 𝑽𝒔 𝑬𝒄𝒐𝒍𝒆 𝑻𝒆𝒄𝒉𝒏𝒊𝒒𝒖𝒆 𝒅𝒆𝒔 𝑻𝒓𝒂𝒗𝒂𝒖𝒙 𝑷𝒖𝒃𝒍𝒊𝒄 (ETP Bwoga), both teams flexed their muscles to a 1:1 draw. Our boys fought relentlessly but we ended up to a draw. Player of the match was 𝑻𝑼𝒀𝑰𝑺𝑯𝑰𝑴𝑬 𝑮𝑶𝑼𝑳𝑨𝑴. Well done boys!! to the 𝑪𝒉𝒆𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒔𝒒𝒖𝒂𝒅 you did a good job of encouraging the lads keep it up.

It has come to our attention that some people (definitely our competitors) are spreading misleading information to the effect that we are not accredited as a school.

As much as this could be their marketing strategy, we find it very unfortunate, uncivilized and misguiding as well.

𝗪𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗳𝘆 &/𝗼𝗿 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 (𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀) 𝗮𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝘀;

1. As a school, we're legally registered by the Burundian government, through the ministry of education & scientific research.

2. We are an accredited ACT testing center, and all our G12 students can therefore sit for their international test within the school. There's no way we could be an ACT testing center if we were not recognized by the USA, since ACT is an American test! As we are all aware, all our 2022-2023 G12 students did and passed this test! Pls ask those spreading lies; how many of their G12 students passed the ACT test?

Since all our students passed their ACT test and in addition to the high school diplomas that we awarded them on the 24th of June, nothing stops them from obtaining an equivalent from the Burundian government, and /or getting admission to any university of their choice, be it in Burundi, Africa or any other country in the world including the US! As a school, we undertook to help them in pursuing this and we still remain committed to the course.

3. We fully agree that being accredited is important. However, we are not just going for any accreditation, but only those that add tremendous value to the quality of education that we offer. Already, we have initiated plans to pursue some of the most recognized accreditations, which we believe shall definitely be of great benefit to us as a school in all aspects.

4. It's important to note that it's the school that comes first, then accreditation follows, but not the other way round. So, we're on the right track, considering that this is just our first year in operation. It took over 6yrs for some of the people peddling these lies about accreditation, to secure the one they have so far!!

5. Even if a school is accredited and students have poor academic results, they still can't be admitted in universities of their choice. Therefore, with or without accreditation, good results is the primary consideration for a student to secure a place in a university, world over, regardless of the accreditation status of the school.

Based on this background therefore, I want to urge all our parents/guardians and/or students (both continuing and prospective) to ignore such information and treat it as lies/propaganda.

Pls consult the internet for full information on international education (schools) accreditations, don't accept lies.
