There's something simply AMAZING about being a creative woman. We bring life to everything we touch, to every thought we have and our presence uplifts every single space we enter. That energy is sacred and we have to treat it like it is.
Here's a few things you should prioritize as a creative woman:
1. Me Time - Set time aside to sit with yourself and your thoughts. Being creative is a 24hr job and in order to reset and maintain balance in life we have to always make "me time".
2. Networking - It is equally as important to meet, chat with and build connections with other creatives as it is to have alone time. Get out there and find your people!
3. Learning New Things - NEVER stop learning, reading and growing. Always look for ways to sharpen your skills and increase your capacity.
4. Your Mental Health - Your mind is right on up there with your hands and as a creative woman, I don't need to tell you how important both of those things are. Prioritize your mental health. Seek help when you need it and understand that there is strength in acknowledging and addressing your weaknesses.
I've saved this one for last but it's certainly not the least.
5. DO WHAT SPARKS JOY FOR YOU! - We often get wrapped up in life, obligations, business and taking care of everything and everyone else and before you know it, you're on an assembly line doing the same things over and over and over again. Go back to the source. Remember that "me time" I told you about? Use some of that to do what you love and what makes you happy.
If there's one thing I've learned over the last 2 years, it's that life can change in the literal blink of an eye and with that change, often comes regret. Don't live a life of regret. Eat the cake, take the trip, buy the shoes and most importantly, DO WHAT SPARKS JOY FOR YOU!
