The Bridge Authority Bahamas.
Paradise Island, with an area of 685 acres, is located just across the harbor from the city of Nassau on the northern edge of the island of New Providence.
The Bridge Authority was established by an Act of Parliament in 1998, as a continuation of the former Paradise Island Bridge Company Limited, established in 1988. The Bridge Authority incorporates all of the powers of the Paradise Island Bridge Authority, with expanded authority and responsibilities, which allow it to construct, own, manage and operate any bridge in The Bahamas. Paradise Island is connected to the island of New Providence by two bridges that cross Nassau Harbour.
