The D-day is here!!! Mushroom warriors in the field. Everyone's so excited 😁😁😁

We decided to "harvest" first batch of 80 cylinders today coinciding with Nyilo- Bhutanese New Year!!!

👉Boys & the ladies decided to sell harvest door to door, i was bit skeptical🤔🤔🤔...

They all came back within an hour all smiles😊 and empty baskets, Our first bumper harvest sold within an hour😳😱😲

Congratulations Team EcoFarm...We had a very good start...we still have miles to go...

Our Team Hard work, patience and perseverance is finally paid off😊😊😊

👉 Mushroom fruiting after 25 days...will be ready for retail in few days time.

These ladies played pivotal role in setting up the core of what mushroom farm is all about..."packing cylinders"

Packing cylinders is not everyones cuppa tea, thats what i say, after seeing these ladies exerting so much arm strength/force🤛🤜💪 and the right technique to spread spawns and layer those steamed straw into plastic bag😲😲😲. Hardwork & dedication are their second names, first being their roll call names😊

👉 If our mushroom farm was like that of a honeybee comb, these ladies are the "Queen Bee", without them, we would not have had mushroom bags hanging with beautiful baby mushroom popping🍄🍄🍄.

A month ago, when i decided to take Oyster Mushroom as a start up project, these young bunch of boys👬👬 from the hood showed up to work in the farm. They looked naive, inexperienced but they were vigorous youth...so the contract to build Farm shed was handed over to them.

Work started immediately...i was intrigued by the way they put their heads together to lay out the plan(interior/exterior) and plot mapping...like a bunch of architect & engineers on site.

Work was progressing smoothly, like professional builders they knew their part to perform, i had no clue who they were except their names...so decided to catch up with them about who they actually are...

OK, you guys reading this post cannot imagine how "shocked" i was to know about them a month ago...

And now...how "proud" i am to have these boys affliated with Farm permanently...

I like to introduce these boys, of today for doing what they do with & ....hope these boys inspire many others outthere with a message..."No job is too small"

Finally completed a month long project comprising of 6 young boys & 4 women, working continuously through scorching sun, uncalled winter rain and many technical glitches(all amateur including the Farm owner🤭🤭🤭)...Yet we did it💪💪💪.

CONGRATULATIONS & TASHI DELEK to all the Team of dedicated boys & ladies.

We shall continue our next project SHED B after Lockdown. Till then staysafe!
