The second day of Media advocacy week included the following activities
Morning program: The speaker recites a poem called Never trust a mirror by Erin Hanson. It tells us that mirror is just an object which is made by a man to earn an income, it doesn’t have the capacity to show the true you, so never trust a mirror rather have confidence in yourself.
Afternoon program: The article called IKIGAI meaning a secret to a long and a happy life was shared to the students apart from social issues. The second article was about Morita therapy which is a way that teaches us to accept our emotions and to spread the messages of its OK not to be okay.

As we are all gathered here on this auspicious day to celebrate your success, which is the result of your efforts and collective prayers, I am pleased to wish you all Tashi Delek.
The Armed Forces of Bhutan was instituted upon firm foundations by His Majesty King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck, and fortified by my Father, His Majesty Jigme Singye Wangchuck’s efforts and prayers. Since then, our Armed Forces have been strengthened by cadres of women within its ranks. Today is a significant milestone in our history, as the first cohort of women recruits join the Royal Bhutan Army.
We take this opportunity to remember all the men and women who have ever served in the armed forces, and express our gratitude to them as well as to those who are currently in service.
The Armed Forces have always served the country and people with steadfastness, enduring all manner of hardships in the line of duty. The breadth of their service to the nation at all times, and particularly during times of great importance, cannot be described in words.
Since last year, the Armed Forces were tasked with training unprecedented numbers of De-Suups so that our youth could be empowered to serve the nation during the pandemic. It is an achievement of the Armed Forces that close to 18,000 De-Suups have been trained in centers across the country within a short period of time.
The ability of our Armed Forces to always serve the nation with uncompromised dedication derives from the exceptional unity and cohesiveness within our military. It is said that even the strongest vessel cannot cross a mere stream if those on the boat fail to work in harmony. However, with the right coordination, we can navigate oceans.
As we look to the future, our collective goal is to safeguard our sovereignty, and ensure the peace and security of our people and nation for all times to come.
In this endeavour, we have to consider the multiple dimensions of security. This includes legal security, cyber security, financial security, economic security, food security, and critical infrastructure security such as communications, power, etc.
Our Armed Forces as an institution has the sacred responsibility of ensuring the security of our nation and people. Given the enormity of the task ahead, we cannot rely just upon numbers, or military prowess, or even morale. To succeed in our endeavours, our Armed Forces must be intelligent, nimble, ever-changing and adaptive, evolving, responsive, and capable.
In pursuit of our objective to secure the future of Bhutan, our most important national endeavor today is to empower our children for success. The establishment of Gyalsung- the National Service, has been initiated to achieve this objective. Once again, it is the Armed Forces who must shoulder the responsibility for this historic initiative to succeed. Hard work, dedicated service and loyalty to the nation is ingrained in our Armed Forces. Our Armed Forces have always served the country and people above and beyond our greatest
expectations.
With mental determination and physical strength, underpinned by discipline and integrity, our Armed Forces personnel will continue to serve the nation in such a manner.
As you look forward to a lifetime of service, you, the young men and women standing here today, must carry forward this proud spirit and tradition and uphold above all, your cohesiveness and dedication to your duty.
For my part, I consider it my responsibility to always give you support, recognition, protection, and care. I have pledged to support you for all times to come. In return, I ask that you serve our nation and people with loyalty and exceptional commitment.
Had it not been for the pandemic, your attestation parade today would be an occasion for your family and friends to come together in celebration. Nevertheless, I am pleased that Jetsun and Jigme Namgyel are present for this special occasion, and that we also have the Prime Minister and the Chief Operations Officer of the RBA here.
This is a proud moment for all of us, a moment that will never be forgotten. As we celebrate this new chapter for the Armed Forces, I wish you Tashi Delek.
This morning, we had a talk back session on the topic RESPECT and VALUE since both of them are crucial in our daily life as a human being.
Again during the lunch break we had another talk back session. The guest speaker was the School Girl Captain and she talked on the topic: Importance of Education.

This year, more than ever, we are grateful to have Her Majesty The Gyaltsuen, as our most gracious and benevolent Queen.
Her Majesty is our inspiration in service of the nation. Even while remaining the embodiment of strength at His Majesty’s side, Her Majesty fills all our hearts with courage and hope.
On this most special of occasions, the admins of this page join the nation to offer our gratitude and love to Her Majesty, with our heartfelt prayers for Her Majesty’s eternal wellbeing. 🙏
Proud Moment for UA Family ...Congratulation Jigme Pelden Dorji
Bhutanese Cadet Jigme Pelden Dorji Receives the Commandants Medal. In the history of National Defense Academy since its beginning it is the first time where a Bhutanese cadet has been awarded the Commandants Silver Medal for being the best rider from the passing out
"The peace, prosperity, and happiness that we enjoy in Bhutan is an outcome of the enduring sacrifice of our King of Prophecy, His Majesty the Fourth Druk Gyalpo Jigme Singye Wangchuck– our most revered and beloved guardian. From the moment of His Majesty’s accession to the Throne, His Majesty has worked tirelessly to fulfill all the aspirations of His people.
By the paramount benediction of the Triple Gem; the providence of the Guardian Deities; the devout prayers of our benevolent ancestors; and the good fortune of the people, Bhutan was blessed at the most opportune moment with an exceptional leader who achieved unimaginable success during His reign.
His Majesty prioritized above all else, the profound task of Nation-Building, and ensuring the survival of our country.
His Majesty’s principal objective throughout His reign was to ease the troubles of His people, fulfill their aspirations, and empower them so that the future of our nation would be invincible. In these endeavours, His Majesty succeeded beyond imagination.
His Majesty accomplished all this, and at the same time, tended to our natural environment in such a manner that Bhutan remains to this day, a haven of beauty in which beings of all realms may delight in.
His Majesty assumed the mantle and responsibilities of Kingship at the age of 16, when ordinary people are still growing up. By the age of 51, when most people are still striving to achieve their lifelong goals, His Majesty had already accomplished prodigious feats. Where ordinary people crave wealth and power, His Majesty, in an act of superlative altruism that was unprecedented in the history of the world, abdicated the throne, crowned a new King, introduced democracy and handed over the responsibility of governance to His people.
In all His actions, His Majesty was a farsighted visionary, a benefactor of His people, whose strategies for the country demonstrated impeccable clarity of thought, and whose realization of national objectives spoke of unassailable determination and excellent statesmanship.
This is why we revere His Majesty as the Father of the Nation.
We are gathered here to offer our gratitude, tribute and respects to His Majesty. There can be no greater tribute, expression of gratitude and respect, than the pledge that we will hand over to the next generation, an even stronger, even more prosperous, and even more successful nation, and serve our country in such a manner that thousands of generations after us will continue to reap the fruits of our labours."
- His Majesty The King, 11 November 2015
✿
The Coronation Ceremony of His Majesty King Jigme Singye Wangchuck was held on June 2, 1974. Today, in tribute to His Majesty's visionary initiatives to conserve the rich environmental wealth of Bhutan, this day is celebrated as Social Forestry Day. Due to the farsighted policies of His Majesty the Fourth Druk Gyalpo, Bhutan remains committed to keep for all time, more than 60 percent of our country under forest cover. More than half our forests are protected areas, allowing the rich flora and fauna of the Himalayas to flourish here. Even as Climate Change becomes a growing global issue, Bhutan remains carbon-negative. Our national achievements in conservation and stewardship of the environment, are just one among the numerous legacies of His Majesty the Fourth Druk Gyalpo, bequeathed to a fortunate people.
On this day, we join the people of Bhutan in offering our gratitude and tribute to our beloved Drukgyal Zhipa. May the rays of His Majesty's benevolence, wisdom, and guidance forever shine upon the people of Bhutan.
