The pre-primary children were welcomed with a simple ceremony that aimed to make them feel comfortable and excited about starting their academic journey.The ceremony started with the rosettes being pinned to their uniforms at the school gate by the teachers. The children were thrilled to receive these rosettes.Next, the children were guided to the school's cultural park, where they were offered butter lamps to light. The butter lamps symbolized the light of knowledge that they were about to receive in the school. Each child lit their own butter lamp with the help of a teacher and said a silent prayer for success in their studies.After the lighting of the butter lamps, the children were treated to a refreshing snack. The teachers had arranged for tea and shamdrey, which the children happily gobbled up while chatting with their new friends.The ceremony ended with a group photograph of the pre-primary students with their rosettes and butter lamps. The children went home that day with a sense of excitement and anticipation for what was to come in their academic journey.

On the first day of school, students were given a spelling test to assess their language skills. The test was a comprehensive evaluation that included words of various difficulty levels and was designed to gauge the students' spelling abilities. One hundred high-frequency words were chosen from both Dzongkhag and English. Some students did very well, but others had a hard time spelling even the simplest words.

However, the school is committed to supporting its students and helping them improve their spelling skills. To this end, the school has implemented several measures to support its students before the actual teaching begins, including dedicated time slots for students to practice and reinforce their spelling skills.

These events will not only give students a chance to improve their spelling skills, but they will also help to create a positive and supportive learning environment where students can feel confident and motivated to do well.
