What is Climate Change?
Long-term changes in temperatures and weather.

Why is it an issue?
This has led to an increase in the frequency and intensity of extreme weather events. Eg drought, flooding, extreme heat.

Does this impact our food & environment?
Too much rain leads to crops & plants rotting. Extreme heat makes it difficult to grow food to feed ourselves and our animals.
Freezing temperatures stunt plant growth.

Happy International Day of Forests
With the help of students, medics, teaching staff and village residents we have planted over 3,600 trees since 2020.
Trees
β€’Produce the oxygen we need to survive
β€’They provide the shade we need on hot days
β€’They flower and fruit, providing us with medicines
and food
β€’Their root system provides soil stabilisation
β€’They are homes to insects, mammals and birds
