Transitioning to renewable energy An opinion piece...

we all understand one of the major focuses on this topic has been on transport. and much more developed countries through their structures are focusing on personal vehicles. (sedan's, Coupe's, SUV's etc.)

I strongly believe a more optimal approach, locally would be to begin with. public transport. hear me out...

1. personal vehicles are still a bit too pricey to buy (especially given that our country's market is mostly dominated by pre-loved japanese and Singapore makes) ...even government intervention at this level may not reach the required balance

2.a majority of Batswana use public transport. for a widespread appreciation and impact this would be a great option.

3. a good approach at this would be to not entirely build new vehicles. but to use the already "flat bed infrastructure" and storage capacity of "minibuses and and busses and convert existing vehicles to electric.
