OWN RACE, OWN PACE
I recently had the pleasure of doing the Cape Town Marathon. One thing about athletics, it teaches you to know and understand your body and how to manage your limitations in order that give your best. Wishing you all a big week. This week and into the future, KNOW YOURSELF and be the best you can be.
FOREVER YOUNG. PRIORITIZE FITNESS
I try to keep active and fit all the time. I recently ran 21.1 kms in 2hrs 14 mins and 40 seconds. Ha le mpona le mpitse 😅
STALWART, PATRIOT, LIFELONG SERVANT - DK
I am honored to have worked under and with Daniel Keatametse “DK” Kwelagobe. It’s a true privilege to have the opportunity to tap into his sound leadership acumen. On his birthday month, I wish him good health and happiness. Long live, DK!
HUMBLE YOURSELF
I am inspired by the strides of all Botswana athletes, particularly Letsile Tebogo. They all remind me of the call to “humble yourself before the Lord, He will lift you up.” Wishing you all a wonderful week led by humility and hard work.
MPHO YA BOTSHELO - BIRTHDAY’ING
Throughout my life, I have learnt to trust in God, my family, friends, colleagues and people from all walks of life that I do not personally know yet they have shown me love and embrace. They have taught me not to take life for granted. Because of you all, I am blessed.
Today on my birthday, I recommit to love you all back and to be of the best possible service to you and all other people that I can do something positive for. Thank you for sustaining and supporting me in all the ways you have.
Happy birthday,
READYING FOR THE DESERT 💪🏾
My imminent move to the Saudi League has been well received by all😅. In preparation for the Saudi deserts, this morning I participated in the Desert Bush Walk in Jwaneng together with about 3,500 other fitness enthusiasts. I managed to complete a 30km walk💪🏾. Please remember to keep fit and active in order to fight Non-Communicable Diseases. We walked the talk.

THIS GAME CALLED LIFE - TAKE A SHOT
If you don’t shoot, you may never score. If you don’t try, you may never achieve your life ambitions.
There’s an element of luck in everything, but you have to make an effort in order to activate your luck.
You want to start a business, start a family, make an investment etc? Take the first step, give it an effort. Shoot!
When you shoot, you may at times miss the target. Don’t give up, shoot again! Trust me, your shooting will get better and you will score in this game called life.
By the way, in the game you sometimes get substituted, sometimes you don’t win. Now, when things don’t go your way in life, remember that you can try again in the next 90 minutes opportunity you will be given.
I wish you all the best as you give life your best shot. Score those goals. Its , choose to shoot!
Mo ga se pass ke MPHO. Tsaa-tanki! 🙌🏾
PHOSTA IN THE 18 AREA - END GBV
Good morning, beloved brothers and sisters.
Yesterday at the Solidarity Against GBV football match between Cabinet and MPs I emerged as Man of the match. That said, I recommit to permanently be MAN OF THE MATCH IN THE FIGHT AGAINST GBV FOREVER. NO TO GBV 🖐🏾.
Be like Phosta, be man of the match and stand against GBV.
GIVE THANKS FOR THE DAYS OF LIFE
The Lord had blessed me with an amazing family, and wonderful children.
My miracle daughter Reatile Luzibo Florence Kgalagadi Balopi aka FK turns 21 today. I thank God for her. Please join me in wishing her a happy 21st birthday and a bright future.
Happy birthday, FK. You and your brother are truly god-sent.
IT IS OK TO CELEBRATE THE SUCCESS OF OTHERS
I rejoice in seeing my countrymen making strides that change their lives as well as those of others, especially if they are from Gaborone North constituency.
Yesterday I passed by the newly opened Dickey’s Barbecue Pit at The Fields Mall. It is run by two Batswana women from my constituency.
I wish to congratulate and celebrate them for the wonderful venture as well as to wish them more success. Many thanks to the restaurant staff too for the tasty food and exceptional service that they render. Ke ne ka betsa GAME DOWN! 💪🏾😀
Keep it up and may you inspire other Batswana. Please open more doors for others as you succeed.
I send love and prayers of best wishes to Mma Chiepe on her 100th birthday.
In February this year I had the honour of officially opening Cedric Molome’s medical centre. Today I learnt of his sad passing.
Cedric was simply amazing, he was a go getter and inspiration to many, myself included. I am saddened by his transition. But we must be comforted that, in him, heaven has gained a true angel.
I send my condolences to his family, friends, colleagues and associates. May God comfort you all.
Rest In Peace, my brother.
Ha le mpona le mpitse .

RIP, “MMA MOSADINYANA”(SIC)
Botswana and UK have been bonded at the hip for decades. A lot of our advances have been due to our mutually beneficial relations. To a large extent, we have a lot to be thankful for regarding our diplomatic ties.
As the Queen now rests, one era has ended. May the new era build on past successes and lessons.
May God comfort her family, citizens of the UK, nations of the Commonwealth and mourners around the world.
Rest in peace, Queen Elizabeth II.
THE LAST DANCE
This past weekend I presented my last report to Congress following my just ended term as the Secretary General. I wish to thank the entire leadership and party members, once more, for having trusted me with the affairs of the Party. Le kamoso!
Lastly, congratulations to the Party Chairman, HH Mr. Slumber Tsogwane, the new SG, Mr. Kavis Kario, and the entire Central Committee elected at the 39th National Congress of the BDP. You have my full support.
Tsholetsa Domkrag!
THANKS BE TO GOD AND TO YOU, FELLOW DEMOCRATS
Eleven years ago, during this month, I was bestowed with the honour of being the BDP Secretary General by a vote in the Central Committee. In subsequent years, party National Congresses elected and endorsed me to the position. For this privilege, I am eternally grateful.
In my time, I have given the best of everything that I could. I have no regrets, not a single one. All I have are pleasant memories of a walk with nation loving democrats who shared in the vision of creating a Botswana of shared prosperity. This has been my lifelong mission and I dare say we, as a party, should not forget it, lest we stumble.
In my time, we have faced obstacles at many levels, but the might of the BDP has always seen us rebound. I believe in the collective strength of a united BDP, and I trust that if we hold hands we will soar like eagles high up where we belong. Hihing go tshwaranwa kwa kobo.
I have been truly honoured to meet and work with selfless party lovers all across Botswana, people whose only reward is a clear and clean conscience. In the BDP, I have seen unmatched voluntary service and devotion to the goals of the collective above individual desires. I have no regrets. I have learned in this 11 years what I will treasure for the rest of my life.
I am proud to be your Secretary General. Actually, being a BDP member is an honour and privilege by itself. But being the Secretary General is exalted and a once in a lifetime opportunity. I will always be grateful. I will always stand ready to serve. I will always give my best. I will always be a staunch democrat.
Thanks for the love and support. I love you all too. Weno, SG.
I AM A BONAFIDE, STERN BDP MEMBER
I have been alerted of a circulating audio recording that makes unfounded allegations that implicate me in the internal politics of Botswana Patriotic Front (BPF). Unsurprisingly, this is not the first attempt to associate me to the opposition. Nothing could be further from the truth.
The circulating audio features a character referred to as Mma Keekee who alleges that I have persuaded her to stand as Chairperson of the Women’s Wing of BPF. I am dismayed by the attempt to discredit my loyalty to the BDP, and I will be taking the matter up legally.
Come rain or shine, I am a bonafide and stern member of the BDP. My loyalty to the values and ethos of the BDP are, and have never, been determined by my personal circumstances or allegiance to individuals. My loyalty to the party is founded on its ideals of shared prosperity, which emanate from DEMOCRARY, DEVELOPMENT, SELF-RELIANCE, UNITY (as a basis for KAGISANO) and BOTHO – the founding and lasting values of Domkrag.
Anyone who comes across the audio and all related allegations must disregard them.
A MPHELETSE A LE THAENG …
I have tried to find the words to describe Letsile Tebogo. I couldn’t find any. Mafoko a mpheletse a le thaeng. Congratulations to him for all his feats. 🇧🇼
THANK YOU 🙏🏾
Brothers and Sisters, thank you for all the birthday messages. I am grateful to learn that you all place such importance upon me as an individual, brother, friend and leader. Le kamoso. Going forward, let’s spread the love and unite more than ever. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. 🙏🏾
EBENEZER! ANOTHER ONE 🎂…
A year older, a year wiser. I thank God for his protection and sanctuary. I thank my family and friends for their incubation. I thank you all for your evergreen love and support. Oh, how shall I give thanks to the Lord? I will serve and praise Him all the days of my life. Happy birthday to me. Happy birthday, Phosta.
CHOOSE ‘THE PARTY’
The might of the BDP was awoken this past weekend at the 58th National Council. Unity and Consolidation. Let’s do it.
CDE. DUARTE WILL BE MISSED, MHSRIP
My travels and assignments as BDP SG have taken me places and made me in touch with many people the world over. Across the border in RSA, one such person with whom I have shared a wonderful collegial relationship with was the departed ANC DSG, Comrade Jesse Duarte. She will be greatly missed.
Comrade Duarte was unassuming, gentle and calm. While politics is usually dominated by men, she showed just why women should not be overlooked. She was firm in her love for serving people through the ANC, and she did it with honour and excellence right through to the end.
I join those who mourn her. I will remember our one on one chats, I will remember our interactions on international duties such as at the Socialist International meeting in Dominican Republic some years ago, and I will remember our last dance at that meeting.
I send my condolences to her family, the ANC and South Africans who mourn her. May her soul Rest In Peace.
UP AND UP HE GOES
World record for juniors. Congratulations, Lets!

LONG LIVE THE SPIRIT AND VALUES OF SIR SERETSE KHAMA
ROBALA KA KAGISO, KK
It is a sad morning as we learn about the passing on of a great encyclopedia of Botswana and BDP history in the person of Rre Ketumile Kaboyamodimo. Rre Kaboyamodimo was a fond patriot of Botswana. He was also a staunch member of the BDP to whom we looked for many pieces of history, including from his rich library of past literature. In him, we always had a point of reference in times of need.
I send my prayers of comfort and heartfelt condolences to his dear family. May his fellow GaNgwaketse tribesmen, Batswana and BDP members find solace in the good memories he left us. May his soul rest in peace.
