Deoxycholic acid injection is used to improve the appearance and profile of mild to moderate submental fat ('double chin'; fatty tissue located under the chin). Deoxycholic acid injection is in a class of medications called cytolytic medications. It works by breaking down cells in fatty tissue. These injections also work to fight stubborn fat pockets such as “bra fat”, abdominal fat, “above the knee” fat and arm fat. HOW LONG DOES THIS PROCEDURE TAKE? An appointment is around 30 minutes long but the actual injections only take 3-5 minutes! HOW DOES THIS PROCEDURE FEEL?
