Two walnut food serving boards. One hand carved charquterie board with inserts in the handle to look like a knife and one walnut serving tray with handles . Tested this one with a 10lbs hand weight, held up fine . FULL DISCLOSURE: These are not for cutting on . Doing so will damage these and you will injest wood particles and more . These are for SERVING FOOD ON ONLY! I can ship these and also make cutting boards if desired. These 2 boards are $45.00 each. I have two more in the works of the same style as the tray . Update: This was a fun one to put together. Maple legs and walnut top , 2 inch thick live edge slab . I have a few other slabs of this but longer . They came out of a barn in my local area. I let them sit for a month + in my shop just to let them crack out / dry fully , then it was time to get some dust flying. I don't have pre thought plans or designs when I start my builds ( only if I have a client is it planned ) .
I just kinda go with the flow and do what feels right . I wanted to hand carve something on the legs but I need some more practice , I'm not bad but just wanna make it better.
I used contrasting wood toned dowels to fit into the left over screw holes as it gives it a
Total clean look and plus I love furniture with different tones. This was gonna be a set of 2 and it still might .

The start of my clients bedside table . This is made from a chunk of maple and hasent been stained or sealed yet , only sanded . Started at 40 grit and went to 320 grit . Smoother then a silk sheet . Them routered edges are fire .

Found this gem in the scrap pile. This beauty chunk of walnut , paired with some maple will make a great charquterie board. Stay tuned

Live edge bench made from a slab of ash wood . Stained in 2 coats of walnut oil. Wooden legs painted black .

Butternut live edge table with black epoxy and maple legs . This table has been sanded velvety smooth from 40 grit to 320 grit . Applied 2 coats of golden pecan stain and then 2 coats of polyurethane. The black streak on the top was a void I filled with black metallic epoxy. Thanks for looking. If you have hardwood floors I will include felts for the bottom of the legs .

It's always nice when a past client shares their garden planter that was done for them in the garage. This was just a Basic 'reclaimed ' wood planter . Thanks Maureen.

Finally got all the smaller cracks from this table top all filled with epoxy. Tonight it will get sanded out and have some marine grade polyurethane applied to it .

What kinda legs would you go with for this table top?

Got started on my next coffee table made from a live edge slab of 'butternut'

Got commissioned to re-do a cherry harvest table . This is the leafs from the table which in all is over 8 ft . First coat of marine grade polyurethane and filled in natural imperfections with epoxy . Stay tuned for the finish .

All done and installed. It's not very often I get emotionally attached to a project I do for clients, this job however was a bit different. Started out from live edge slabs which I had to glue together and create the dimensions and also 'score cut ' around the window frame on the big one. This took me about a month to do from raw materials, to these counter tops. As I also have a fulltime job. ( Wish it was doing these ) It was an awesome learning experience for me as this is my first custom counter top job as a private and independent contractor/ woodworker. If anyone wants a custom counter top upgrade or simply for a new home , don't hesitate to hit me up .
