You’ll find RVH Auxiliary’s sweetest volunteers this weekend at Downtown Barrie’s Gotta Luv Butter Tart Festivals! We’re joining 70+ vendors along Dunlop Street and at Meridian Place Downtown Barrie. Our booth will be located across from Beaver Rock Coffee. We’ll be selling our signature RVH Auxiliary butter tart flavoured coffee and scented candles, as well as our Community 50/50 tickets!

The Royal Victoria Cookbook, compiled by the Women’s Auxiliary and printed in 1900, will be on display as part of our archive exhibit, the earliest known publication of the butter tart recipe.

👋Oh hey there…

I’m not much for showing the face (my face 🤪) behind my little business, but I have some exciting news to share, and I feel like inserting a pic of me (in my space of creating) just ties what I am about to say all together. I also believe if you want something bad enough, and you put it out there for the world to hear it, that little something will come true💫

So, some of you may know that my teeny tiny studio (of about 144sq feet) that I have been working out of for almost 3 years has me feeling quite pinched. I am forever grateful for my great aunt, who has allowed me to store thousands of pounds of glass in her empty two-car garage (currently 6 skids) and a basement of my own that is overflowing with supplies. I have been contemplating many options for growth in the last year, from renovating our home, moving or renting commercial space.🤔 My brain is in a constant game of ping pong!

Well, I have landed on a solution that satisfies myself, my family and my business! We are planning on building a backyard studio that I can work from all year long! I am in the very preliminary design stage, and getting all of the necessary info for permits and building. It seems a bit early to be sharing, but I really, really, really want this to build to happen, and I am hoping 🤞🤞🤞 everything falls nicely into place. So far, The City of Barrie and The Lake Simcoe Conservation Authority have been immensely helpful and informative, taking some of the stress off. If you have any tips for this building process, I would love to hear your comments 💕✌️
