Southern Sun Building Finishes & Project Management

We have been working non stop trying to get projects completed before the big move ! From back splashes, to showers, to complete house renovations, along with packing up the shop and office things have been incredibly busy and exhausting but we have some awesome helpers and very strict little site inspectors keeping us going and on track !

Thanks to for keeping me fed with their awesome pulled pork pizza while I put in some midnight hours trying to get caught up ! The pulled pork is very tasty !

Merry Christmas! We wish everyone a happy and safe holiday season. Thank you for the support through 2022. It was a year of incredible challenges that we would not have been able to survive without the wonderful and loyal people around us. We look forward to serving our community in 2023 ! This past weekend we celebrated the holiday season with a party at our new shop. It was such a fun and busy night this is the only picture we got a chance to snap before the shop was packed with amazing customers, suppliers, subcontractors, family, friends, and neighbours! It is this community of people that make sure Southern Sun not only survives but thrives and we are forever grateful for everyone ! A huge shout out to our friends for supplying the great beer and our friends for supplying the great food. We started 2022 upside down (literally) but with the help of our community we were able to recover. We look forward to growing our community and having a great 2023. Thank you !

This summer we had the absolute pleasure of completing a very unique project. We were tasked with converting a cube van into a mobile yarn and knitting store for our friends at Knit Sew Well. Everything in the van has been custom made with function and style in mind. It was a challenge but extremely rewarding when complete and something we would like to do more of ! We wish Knit Sew Well all the best on their new venture and thank them for the opportunity! Contact us for your van conversion projects !

Our Southern Sun family is growing quickly ! We have been blessed with 1 niece and 3 nephews so far and they are all very cute ! Featured here are Ben and Evan rocking some Southern Sun crew gear 😀. I got to spend some time with both boys over the past couple days and meet our newest nephew Lewis and it was a good reminder to slow down and enjoy them before they are all grown up in a blink of an eye !

We had a wonderful day off spent Willow Ridge Golf & Country Club taking part in the Blenheim Youth Centre tournament on Saturday ! Thank you to all the hosts, sponsors, volunteers, and attendees for a great day for an even better cause !

We had the absolute pleasure of attending one our customers beautiful weddings yesterday ! We are honored to have been asked to join them in celebrating.

Last night we hosted a year end party for the U13 Charing Cross Girls Fastball Team at Retro Fun House in Blenheim ! It was an absolute blast for both kids and adults and the staff were all outstanding ! We highly recommend Retro Fun House and thank them for their hospitality. A big congrats to the girls on a great season winning all but 1 game in the regular season, placing second in the final tournament, and most importantly having fun! Retro Fun House

At the beginning of the year we installed this beautiful tile at a new build in Rondeau Bay Estates ! We completed 2 custom showers, floors in 3 bathrooms and the laundry/mud room and will be completing the kitchen backsplash soon! #519

We didn’t get before photos of this one but that’s probably best because the tenants had done some serious damage to this property. It was the worst we had ever seen but Southern Sun to the rescue ! We drywalled the ceilings, painted, installed new luxury vinyl tiles, installed new trim, and tiled the shower in prep for new tenants 😀.
