Picnic, Paint & Potbellies!

Join us for a truly unique picnic and paint experience at Wishing Well Sanctuary!

Wishing Well Experience is thrilled to be collaborating with The Little Things Luxury Picnics and StArt Academy School of Art to provide an incredible painting experience!

The luxury picnic will be set up in front of the pond and wishing well, near the beautiful farmhouse.

Each guest will be provided with a refreshment and vegan chocolate strawberries.

After you create your spectacular painting you will receive a bucket of carrots 🥕that you can hand feed to our precious, potbelly pigs!!

Sunday July 24th

It’s The Little Things That Matter!

We always try to make our trailers a fun experience with unique decor!

Inside the Camping With The Cows trailer guests will be entertained in the washroom 🧻with a word search and fun signs!

Cow pictures and pillows remind visitors how special it is to spend the night beside our rescued cows🐮

Waking up in the morning and looking out the window at our beautiful bovines is an experience our guests won’t forget✨

Flooring Changes Everything!

This peel and stick vinyl flooring was simple to install. Just required a lot of measuring 📏!

I ripped up the carpet and laid it right on top of the old vinyl floor underneath it.

Our new trailer for guests is called the Pig Palace, lots of pretty pink🎀 and pig 🐷 decor!! Completed reveal soon!

The Llama Lounge 🦙!

I love creating themed trailers for guests to stay in beside the animals.

The Llama Lounge is beside Thunder the llama and his sheep 🐑 friends.

It was so much fun adding the farmhouse and llama decor. Guests enjoy these special touches

Retro Retreat interior ☮️

It was fun renovating and decorating the the inside of the 1989 Coachmen.

The vintage blue was the inspiration for the decor.

The table had 4 layers of paint that I stripped with a heat gun—it took forever! I painted it and then put an epoxy coating to protect it. It turned out great!

I painted the interior white to really brighten it up.

It was fun finding all the “retro” decor—especially the old suitcase 🧳 that I bought on Marketplace.

This is one of my favourite Reno’s, it is bright and cute!

The Moo Room🐮🐄

This is our mobile bunkhouse that guests can rent for additional sleeping at our sites.

We bought a van 🚐 that already had a bed in it.

My husband added a screen to the windows so that the windows could stay open at night to let in the cool air, but keep the mosquitos out 🦟

With my Cricut I made cow print stickers and bought cow print bedding.

There are also battery operated twinkle lights for that extra sparkle ✨

We can’t wait to see you! 💕🐷

Bunkie Makeover 🏚

We got this little bunkie as part of a deal when we bought an RV.

We wanted to transform it into a cute cabin for guests to stay in beside the cows 🐮(you can see them in the background).

I began by ripping out the carpet and laying peel and stick laminate floor. My mistake was to do this when the weather was cold so it didn’t stick well. I am going to have to glue some of it back down when the weather is warmer.

I used some outdoor paint from a previous RV makeover (always using whatever I have on hand!) to give it a bright cheery look.

I took down the blinds, put up curtain rods and bought some cute printed sheers that I shortened.

All the furniture was bought second hand. Most of the accessories were from the dollar store.

This pretty blue reminded me of a robin’s egg, so we have named it The Robin’s Nest.

We hope our guests love spending time at the sanctuary in our off grid cabin!

Total cost of makeover was around $400.

What a difference a little paint makes 💙

I want to add some fun to this vintage trailer!

I chose an acrylic latex exterior paint and primer and tinted it a retro blue colour.

The outside was in great condition and the decals weren’t peeling so I just painted right over top of them! No sanding or scraping. I’m all about fast and easy projects!

I love the way it turned out!

It has lasted and made it through a harsh Canadian winter ❄️

Simple, Inexpensive RV Makeover! 🛠

No power tools required—you don’t have to be a skilled tradesperson to update your RV!

Our trailer went from Flower Power 🌺to modern and sleek, with a few easy updates.

I took out the sleeper couch and replaced it with a simple slide out sofa.

I removed all the flower decals—they peeled off easily.

The valences looked awful! I removed and threw away the side pieces. I wrapped material over the top valances and stapled gunned it in place.

I cheated on recovering the cushions—once again, I wrapped them with material but just used safety pins🧷 at the back—no sewing required!

The kitchen update was just the peel and stick vinyl tiles. This was time consuming but changed the look entirely.

Finally, the light fixtures. I used black paint to paint the gold metal and added new lamp shades. I was not handy enough to replace the fixtures!

Total cost $800(the sofa was $400)
